Middleton Elderly Aid is a Neighborhood Network Scheme in Leeds working to reduce social isolation for the over 60s in Middleton. We offer Lunch clubs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We also run activities all day 6 days a week. We have a variety of groups such as crafts, various exercise groups, computer classes, etc. Charity Shop open 9 - 3 and the Social Centre 9.-4 6 days a week.

Sight Advice South Lakes supports visually impaired people to improve the quality of their lives and promotes a greater awareness of sight issues. We provide practical and emotional support to visually impaired people and their families and carers. We also support visually impaired people to access social support and activities and take advantage of the opportunities and benefits of ICT.

A variety of activities are available including - IT Training, Internet Access, Support Groups, Over 50's Lunch Club, Ladies & Mens Night, Beauticians Course, DJ'ing, Chair Repair project, Table Tennis & BadmintonA hall & different sized conference rooms available for hire. Newcastle Vision Support supports 1,300 people living with sight loss. Our numbers grow by 100 new referrals each year. To our service users NVS provides vital support enabling clients to overcome the devastating effects of sight loss. Services provided include - outreach, volunteer visiting, training (including IT training places to 60 clients per year), a resource centre and much more.

This charity runs a village hall and a number of its associated activities, as well as letting out its premises to other interest groups. It facilitates community participation by also running a village festival every other year, and has some sectional organisations, panto, choir, drama, short mat bowls, and a small musical production group, as well as computer classes and a community cinema.
