The charity funds awards, exhibitions, special prizes bursaries and scholarships for the purpose of education and training.

The Ampleforth Society makes substantial contributions to the bursary funds operated by Ampleforth College. It also encourages and supports social and sporting activities of Old Amplefordians which in turn support and maintain their links with Abbey and College.

The activities of the Trust is to provide office accommodation to charitable/voluntary/not for profit organisations either at a very low rent or free. Money raised can be used to advance education for public benefit by providing scholarships/grants and medical support and assistance for relief of poverty. The Trustees have agreed to extend the activities internationally, outside the United Kingdom

To support the work of the Jamaica Heart Foundation by raising funds, Expand health promotion in Jamaica, work with other charities, provide small bursaries when possible and maintain regular supplies of medical equipment.

Each year we arrange 10 lectures on Arts subjects, 5 visits to museums, galleries and places of interest and 2 special interest days for members and their guests from the public to attend. The charity gives women the opportunity of working together & to develop their education. Bursaries are given to attend Denman, the NFWI residential college where arts, crafts, sciences and home economics are taught. Weekly and monthly activities are enjoyed by members. Tai Chi, Country Dancing, Book Club, Drama are some of the activities in which we are involved.
