Education Charities

Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, abseiling, cycling and canoeing while having fun. We meet weekly, catering for youngsters aged 6 to 18 supporting them with skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life.

Organising school events to (1) raise money that is solely used for the benefit of the school and (2) provide a strong link between the school community and the parents of children at the school.

The village hall is used by a variety of organisations including the youth club the village school the old peoples bingo afternoon and the parish council

Fundraising and organising social events to develop school/parent and school/community relationships: village fete, school Christmas Fair, discos, beetle drive etc. Funds raised are spent on the children - taking them to a pantomime, paying for Christmas activities etc - and on buying equipment for them to use at school eg outdoor play equipment, resources for outdoor play

Providing scholarships or grants or rewards tenable at any university or other educational establishment, including Bridlington School, for pupils or former pupils of the said school.

We aim to provide the village and surrounding area with a facility that can be used for meetings, clubs, classes, social occasions, fund raising events etc. We are an integral part of the village school life as they use our facilities on a regular basis.

Parents, teachers and friends of Caton St Paul's School raise extra money for school projects and equipment e.g. library books, computers, sports and outdoor equipment. They also contribute by supporting the School Sports Day, the annual Christmas Fair and also by donating money towards children attending outside school activities e.g. Young Voices.

An endowed charity restricted to giving it's income to the schools and young persons for educational purposes in the Old Borough of Darwen in Lancashire.

Grants awarded to local schools; to individuals living in the ecclesiastical parishes of Lockerley (with East Dean) and East Tytherley who are under 25 years of age for educational purposes. Bibles bought for children leaving local primary schools. Financial support given for educational residential visits. Support with school uniform/ equipment/ technology.Grants for university students.

This Parents Association organise events that are fun, improve community relations and provide sociable entertainment for the children and parents alike. At the same time we raise funds for the enhancement of education of all the children at the school, now and in the future.

Parents, carers, friends and children fundraising through school and community events to provide additional resources and enrichment opportunities for the pupils attending the school.

As described on page 15 opposite. The grants are specifically made for educational purposes. The beneficiaries have to be under the age of 25, of either sex, and have to be resident in or near Andover or are attending or have attended school in the area covered by the Borough of Andover and the former RDC. The beneficiaries have to be in need of financial assistance.

Public Services and a Sunday School on Sundays; Bible Studies and Prayer Meetings during week;;provide various social,scientific and christian short courses;organise various community activity events for charity.

This charity raises money with school discos, fayres, quizzes, sales and other events. The money is used to improve the enjoyment and education at Hill View Primary School.

Gives small grants to students who are about to start their second year of further education.They must have attended Mosborough Village Primary school and the local Secondary School.Income is raised from the renting of a residential property.

The charity is a primary school Parent and Teacher's Association. Money is raised in a number of ways including school fetes, christmas fayre, school talent shows and raffles.

To advance the education of the pupils in the school by running fund raising events which provide funding for additional educational benefits for all children in the school.

The object of the association is to advance the education of the pupils in the school. This is achieved through:* Develop more extended relatonships between staff, parents & others associated with the school.* Provide additional facilities for education at the school * Engage in activities which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

Educational activities in Armenia and Artsakh by sponsoring schools; support welfare programmes in the devastated earthquake area and for homeless refugees; aid/renovate hospitals and educational institutions.

During the year the Fund made Grants and Bursaries to assist in the education of 11 pupils at Aldenham School. None of the pupils supported by the Fund were children of Old Aldenhamians. 11 pupils were supported by way of Bursaries and none by Grant. The total amount of financial assistance provided by way of Grants and Bursaries was -ú10,500.

The money distributed is from investments that have been bequeathed to the village over many years. The income is distributed in doles to elderly people, to Students, to Village Schools, Village Hall, Churches and Chapels.The recipients have to live in the boundaries of the Ancient Parishes of Wrenbury Cum Frith. Newhall, Sound, Dodcot- cum- Wilkesley, Wrenbury, Chorley Sound and Broomhall .

We provide and fund around a dozen emergency call lifelines for the elderly, We give grants to University, A level and vocational students and apprentices. We give grants to the Wallop primary and pre school. We give a small Xmas hampers to the elderly who are on their own. We undertake one off projects in keeping with our charitable objects in support of both individuals and groups in need.
