BBOWT is the only voluntary organisation concerned with all aspects of nature conservation in Berks, Bucks & Oxon. We care for 85 nature reserves that are safe havens for rare & endangered species & habitats. We encourage all sectors of the community to learn about & care for our natural heritage. We work with other landowners & seek to influence decisions to safeguard important wildlife habitats.

The trustees shall hold the fund and its income for such charities/charitable purposes, throughout the world, as the trustees shall determine, in particular the preservation and restoration of biodiversity and humanitarian aid for the young and disadvantaged. Educational programmes supporting the key areas of focus are also considered.

Environmental, Conservation and Education

The charity's activities are to advance scientific knowledge of plants, animals and the natural world; to advance education on the conservation of the physical and natural world and the promotion of biodiversity; to promote the conservation of the physical and the natural environment and the maintenance of the physical and natural environment and the maintenance of biological diversity.

EJF protects biodiversity and defends the most basic human rights to a secure environment. EJF trains and equips environmental defenders and works at the grassroots to investigate, expose and resolve threats to the natural world. The charity is involved in activities to improve the rivers, streams, watercourses and water impoundments of the catchments of the river Tees and its tributaries. TZF aims to promote public safety and public health, the protection and preservation of human life and the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment. We support and conduct independent research and testing programmes that assess the safety and environmental characteristics of motor vehicles and their comparative performance for the general public.

Cumbria Wildlife Trust is the only voluntary organisation solely devoted to the conservation of the wildlife and wild places of Cumbria. The Trust stands up for wildlife, creates wildlife havens, and seeks to raise environmental awareness.

The Charity's objects are (a) to provide housing, accommodation and assistance to help house people and associated facilities and amenities for poor people or for the relief of aged, disabled (whether physically or mentally) or chronically sick people; (b) any other object that can be carried out by a company registered as a provider of social housing with the Regulator.
