Volunteers operate "hubs" in Wirral. They receive school uniforms no longer needed by families; those in good condition are distributed on request to families needing them. Requests can be made online and/or in person. Clothes in poor condition are sent for recycling. No payments are made. A co-ordinator moves stock from where it is in surplus to where it is needed.

We are an environmental charity who organise and run events accross Cardiff and South Wales to clean up and improve water courses: rivers, streams, ponds or the sea! Our organisation raises funds through staging a variety of school and community events such as: craft fairs; quiz nights; a summer fete; discos; uniform sales; recycling of textiles and other materials; sponsored events (such as fun run and spellathon); and participation in easyfundraising. We also apply for grants from charitable foundations.

Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of pupils/ Activities carried out in 2010/11 included our very successful Christmas bazaar, Film Nights, Family Disco, Cake sales, Ice Lolly Sales, Recycling bag to school, Abel and Cole fruit sales.

The Friends of Harrow Weald work towards transforming parks into the very best community centres. For the benefit of both the environment and park users, parks should be carbon neutral and kept free from plastic and general litter, provide accessible drinking water and a safe environment for all with a strong emphasis on recycling and teaching.
