Raising funds for the construction of a Scout Community Centre, to replace the old Scout Hut which became unsafe and had to be demolished in 2022.

The Community Centre delivers recreational and educational activities for local people including children, young people, families and elderly residents activities include after school kids club, youth clubs, pensioners clubs, Bingo, , Community events & excursions, cookery classes and a wide range of educational activities & Courses to upskill, improve health & wellbeing and reduce isolation.

Hesketh Bank Community Centre provides facilities for groups and individuals from Hesketh Bank, Tarleton and Banks and surrounding areas to participate in a range of educational, social and recreational activities as well as working with and helping other organisations in the area to support the local community. The Community Centre is non-denominational and has no restrictions for users.

The Shaw Lane Foundation is a registered charity that supports the local community by providing and managing facilities and providing activities, and projects. The charity is based at and is responsible for the management of Shaw Lane Community Sports Centre. The charity has a particular interest in supporting disadvantaged groups and people based in the Barnsley area.

Leaside is an open, welcoming church, seeking to live out Christian discipleship in worship and mission, providing:public worship, open to all; a home for community groups; pastoral care as needs are known; active support for initiatives eg Street Pastors; weekly community drop-in, including bereavement support; welcoming especially the elderly and those with special needs.

Copperdale provides a home for homeless young people aged between 15 - 24, providing 24 hour a day support and aims to empower marginalised young people to gain better life chances. An additional project, The United Estates of Wythenshawe, provides an alternative community centre which is open to all ages including young people who are at risk of becoming involved in gangs and poor life choices.

OTHER CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES AS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE DETERMINED.

We are a Community Centre offering facilites to a variety of regular user groups and sports clubs. We also hire out small rooms for meetinga and training courses and our large halls for parties. We have a Social Club as part of the premises providing a licensed bar to members and catering services.

We are a community hub that offer a range of sports, education, SEND and community activities for local members of the community. PSCC is based in Parr and work with a range of other local charitable organisations to offer activities that are of benefit to our local community needs.

Hangleton Community Association runs Hangleton Community Centre. It offers a wide range of activities from Groups meetings to Circus, Soft play facility for younger children, Sama Karate, Fitsteps, Short Mat Bowls and more. It is a fantastic space for birthday parties all at a low cost. The Centre is accessed by many local residents of all ages and is home to a number of community run groups.

Craig y Don Playschool is located in Craig y Don Community Centre. The Foundation Phase of Learning is followed and the activity generated gives the children stimulating interest in the world around them.A large airy room provides suffcient space for 26 children aged from 2.5 to 11 years to attend. There is also an open area attached to the building

Activities include weekend Bengali Culture and Language Schooling; Arabic Language Schooling; Health and Fitness Support; and Hifz classes.Our community hall and rooms provide a valuable educational and recreational resource to all in our local community. A wide variety of activities are organised and take place from our community centre.

Open community centre where we aim to provide educational support for both adults and teenagers so that they can use these skills to have a better quality of life. By having a community centre as a hub for the general public to come and learn various skills the organisation also provides a platform for the unemployed to get into work. The Centre offers guidance in the subject of Islam and welfare.

Heathfield Park Community Action Network works within the Heathfield Park Neighbourhood Plan Area and has two areas of activity:- 1. As the designated Neighbourhood Plan Forum, promoting, for the public benefit the urban regeneration of Heathfield Park.2. As a network hub, working with other groups and providers in Heathfield Park, promoting social inclusion for all within the area.

Provide and maintain, in the interests of social welfare, a community centre and facilities for education, recreation and other leisure-time occupation for the benefit of members of the public at large and in particular Gregorian Armenians in the United Kingdom and with the object of improving their conditions of life.

The Haven Centre is a venue for the local community. It is multi-purpose including the Haven Cafe and Bar which is open to all, rooms for hire for group meetings and special events, Haven Theatre Company, and home to the local Football Club. Many different activities and clubs are available for children and adults through to a social lunch group for the over seventies.

The Weir Link has transformed what was the derelict Weir Hall on the Weir Estate in Thornton Ward South London into a community centre and benefit for the whole community. Facilities provided include a Community Reception and Information area, an Adult Education Training Room, a Nursery providing full day-care and a drop-in creche, 2 offices, a meeting room and a kitchen.

We are a Community Centre with two Halls (one Large-capacity 120, one small-capacity 40) available for hire to local people of all ages for regular group meetings or private functions. We have a very busy schedule of many varied Groups meeting during the week and weekend private hire.

Our Vision is to provide an enjoyable space that meets the needs of the community, where lasting memories can be made, friendships can be developed and provide a place where people feel welcome. Our Mission is to have a vibrant community centre for all to enjoy. Encourage healthy, inclusive social value which provides the opportunity for people to come together.

The successful bid with Big Lottery Fund in 2014/15 to renovate a disused building in Mousehole has now been completed; we are delighted that following the unofficial launch in August 2016 and the Royal Launch in April 2017, the Community Hall is now fully functioning and offering fantastic services to the Village and further afield. Plans are in place to open a Heritage Centre.
