The Scheme provides a practical semi-emergency service for those who do not have family or good neighbours to help them. We can arrange transport to medical appointments, collect prescriptions, shopping, befriending, odd jobs in the garden and home, etc.

We currently hold monthly meetings with a speaker, also go out on educational tours visiting historic houses and gardens.

The Charity manages Ashmeadow Woodlands in the village of Arnside. It comprises of mixed woodland, orchards, a walled garden and allotments. It is open to the public and has a number of footpaths with seats and interpretation boards. When finances permit the Charity offers grants to local groups, or individuals, for anything that will further the aims of the Charity.

Dartmouth Green Partnerships has a team of volunteers who create floral displays for Dartmouth through the seasons and help maintain public planted spaces. It provides advice and assistance to other organisations working to improve green spaces in the town and works with schools, young people's groups, and older people. It raised funds to build the Dartmouth Community Greenhouse to grow plants.

The Association supports the education and welfare of pupils by fostering relationships with staff, parents and other associates of the school and engaging in activities which assist the pupils' education both in and out of the classroom. Fund raising events include the annual garden party, car boot sales, quizzes. Funds support theatre trips, keep fit/play equipment and larger projects.

The friends of Ross Hospital current activities are to raise funds by organising coffee mornings, street collections, an annual hospital garden fete and shop sales. These funds go to benefit patients in the hospital and local community.
