Friends of the Stoke Poges Memorial Gardens - Raising Funds to enhance the Gardens

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS IN THE SCHOOL IN PARTICULAR BY1 DEVELOPING EFFECTIVE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN THE STAFF, PARENTS AND OTHERS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SCHOOL;2 ENGAGING IN ACTIVITIES OR PROVIDING FACILITIES OR EQUIPMENT WHICH SUPPORT THE SCHOOL AND ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS.

St Jude's PTA aims to strengthen links between home and school and to raise funds to finance 'extras' to broaden student's learning opportunities. The PTA has worked in partnership with the school to develop the infants and juniors playgrounds, to create a dedicated nature garden and has established the Summer Fair as a major event in the school calendar.

The Saltburn Valleys CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) promotes the conservation, protection and improvement of the land, gardens, woodlands, walkways, play areas, waterways, wildlife and natural environment, historic monuments and properties in the Saltburn Valleys.

To maintain the town of Leamington Spa as a pleasant place to work and live in. We perform services including looking after the gardens at Leamington Station and include the Friends of the Pump Room Gardens. We have raised money for the restoration of the eight Victorian cast-iron arches around this garden. The Friends of Christchurch Gardens are now also part of our Society

The Trust seeks to advance education for the public benefit in the unique slate heritage and culture of Snowdonia by maintaining its website and interpretative boards.We provide facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation for the public at large in the interests of social welfare by monitoring, managing and enhancing the Snowdonia Slate Trail long distance footpath.

We raise funds for the village school by organising activities for the children (Christmas and Summer Fairs, discos, circus visits) and for the local community (Quiz Nights). We have contributed towards an outdoor adventure play area, classroom, stage and science garden, a stage and new dining chairs for the school hall, a suite of laptops, books, building work and smart televisions.

The Society consists of an Orchestra and Chorus. Membership is open to all comers without audition. Members learn and rehearse music with the objective of providing four public concerts per year. The Orchestra invites all comers to an open rehearsal free of charge. Occasionally, the Chorus runs an open singing course. The Society supports local charities by performing carols at Christmas time.

Sea cadet cor, training young people in all aspects of sailing and seamanship.

Provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation for individuals in the parish of Woodlands in Dorset, and neighbouring areas, who have need of such facilities in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of life of the said inhabitants.

Beyond Sight Loss is a user-led charity addressing loneliness and social isolation of blind and partially sighted people in Tower Hamlets. Members meet to socialise and share information about inclusive activities, events and opportunities to improve health and wellbeing. Outings take place in accessible museums, parks, theatre and sporting events.

Donations received two days a week of money/food/toiletries come via local churches, clubs, individuals or direct to bank. The food bank supports individuals and families in poverty or times of crisis, who have been identified and referred to us by local agencies. Distribution takes place on Fridays. Our premises are available for local groups, with a Craft Club taking place each Monday 1 - 4 pm.

The Trustees work to maintain and improve the Community Centre for community activities, for example Girl Guides, Karate class, Theatre arts group(adults and children, and Private hire parties. The centre is also used as the venue for the Village Horticultural Show, Village Pantomime, Easter event and Woodland Trust activites.

The trust is primarily concerned with the development of Castle Sowerby Chapel for the benefit of the local church and the wider community.

AN OPEN SPACE FOR THE PERPETUAL USE AND ENJOYMENT BY THE PUBLIC EITHER AS GARDENS OR AS PUBLIC WALKS OR PLEASURE GROUNDS OR OTHERWISE

We will -raise money for items towards the educational and non-educational needs of the children.This will through events held within the school environment such as discos, sponsored events and fairs.

We administer, manage and facilitate our hall for community activities and meetings, including a choir and dance classes, garden club, history group, lunch club for the elderly, the Church in Oakridge, W.I. etc. The trust holds fundraising events, Film Nights, and lets the hall for educational, community functions, family parties, children's parties, annual village show, and drama productions.

Promotion of professionally performed chamber music concerts for the borough of Welwyn Garden City and the surrounding area.

Promote the preservation and assist in the establishment of parks and playing fields for the use and enjoyment of the public throughout the UK.

Parklands Riding for the Disabled offers horse riding and animal therapies to anyone with a learning or physical disability or who struggles with mental health

Walks and talks designed and held to enable the general public to learn more about the natural, historical and cultural value of the Northwich Woodlands.Grants and donations obtained to enable facilities to be installed, improving the amenity and recreational value of the area, including installation of interpretation panels and construction of a bird hide for use by the public.

The charity promotes the conservation protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment of Hollingbourne, provides for the regeneration improvement and maintenance of Eyhorne Meadow, and promotes recreational facilities by providing access to the meadow.
