Facilities Charities That specialise in Playing fields

The objectives of the scheme are the provision of facilities for such forms of recreation and other leisure time occupations as are conducive to the improvements of the conditions of living of the inhabitants of Tyldesley and the neighbourhood threeof and in particular (but not exclusively) such of the said inhabitants as are members of the mining community.

The object of the charity is the provision and maintenance of a village hall, recreation ground and ancilliary facilities for the inhabitants of the area of benefit for recreation and other leisure-time occupation in the interests of social welfare, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants.

The charity provides recreational facilities for use by the village and surrounding areas. There is a pavillion, with main Hall, kitchen and toilets. Outside there is a playing field, Multi Use Games Area and a childrens playground.

THE CHARITY OPERATES WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF ST.KEVERNE ON THE LIZARD PENINSULAWE ARE SMALL CHAIRTY RUN BY VOLUNTEERS, WE AIM TO RAISE MONEY IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN AND IMPROVE THE CHILDRENS PLAY AREA, PAVILLIONS, TENNIS COURTS AND RECREATION FIELD IN THE HOPE OF PROVIDING A SAFE, FUN ENVIROMENT FOR THE COMMUNITY.

A VILLAGE HALL AVAILABLE FOR COMMUNITY AND OUTSIDE USE.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation in particular by the provision of facilities for the playing of sports.

Management of the the Stonesfield playing field for the playing of football, cricket and tennis and also general recreational use

Recreation

The hall and recreation ground is regularly used for a variety of activities for villagers and nearby businesses and recreation clubs. The hall is available for hire for private functions including childrens parties, wedding receptions, village functions, elections and occasional fund raising fairs.During FY 2013/14, refurbishment was completed using funds from reserves and grants received.

MANAGES AND MAINTAINS THE RECREATION GROUND

The Withiel Playing Fields Association was formed to acquire the playing fields of Withiel Primary School, and to build a Village Hall on their playing fields. The activity of the Trust nowadays is to manage the Hall in accordance with the Trust Deed for the benefit of those residing in the ÔÇ£area of interestÔÇØ: Withiel (population 351 in the 2001 census) and the surrounding parishes.

The provision and maintenance of a village hall and recreation ground for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Sedgeberrow without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, for recreation and other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

Provides facilities, buildings and space for (primarily local) groups such as pre-school playgroup, keep fit, dog training, artists, badminton and football and cricket.

Management and maintenance of Shoscombe Social Welfare centre (Village Hall) and the attached recreation ground.

To improve the conditions of life for the inhabitants of the area of benefit (The Parish of North Luffenham) without distinction, political, religious or other opinions by the provision and maintenance of a recreation ground.

The Derek Flannery Playing Field Association is an entirely voluntary organisation which manages the Wethersfield playing field upkeep, the use of the community building and any other equipment and facilities that stand on it. The playing field and the facilities are available for use by all in the local community but a particular emphasis is placed on its younger members.
