The Trust is responsible for management of the Kimberley Miners Recreation Ground for the benefit of the residents of Kimberley and the surrounding area.

Our core activities are snooker and pool that is available to our members 6 days per week. Other activities include sports and activities, on our playing fields and family fun days for the community. A meeting room, classroom and grounds are available for use to any group. A Men in Sheds project was set up in 2020, using the facilities available for gardening and hobby pursuits.

Blaxhall Village Hall was built in 1911 for the needs of the village, it is run on a charity basis to provide a venue for social and fund raising events.

Recreation facilities, for football and leisure

St. Osyth Playing Field is responsible for managing Cowley Park, the major outdoor recreational facility in the Parish of St. Osyth. It is used for organised sports and activities and for informal recreation by the local community.

A public playing field with a football and cricket pitch plus childrens play areas managed on behalf of the Fields in Trust by Youlgrave Parish Council. Designated a Queen Elizabeth II Field in 2012. Also owns the public toilets in the centre of the village for use by walkers, visitors and locals

SPORTS FACILITIES

Provision of recreation and village hall facilities for local residents

Phillimore Park is a local park. Since 2004, the Darnall Green Spaces Regeneration Project has been working to engage the community in the regeneration of the park. A master plan for the park was completed in 2005 and in April 2010 two large sections were completed. These were a games area for young people and a play area for 8-13s.

The provision and maintenance of a social welfare centre, a recreation ground, a playing field and a community centre for the benefit of the inhabitants of the beneficial area without distinction of sex, or of political, religious or other opinions, and in particular for use for meetings, lectures, classes, physical exercise and other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation.

The Hall is focal to village life. Many clubs meet there, there are village hall committee functions, village fetes, private parties, the grounds are used by various clubs, there is a tennis court and new children's playground.
