The Trustees of this site (Four Elms Recreation ground) resigned in 1977 and handed over to Hever Parish Council to manage as a custodian trustee of the charity.. It was originally donated by Theresa Kennedy in 1935. 1.04 acres. "Purpose of a playing field and recreation ground for children and youth of the Ecclesiastical parish of Four Elms". The parish council receives no separate funds.

Village Playing Field

The charity was created following an application by the Parish Council for ownership of the land in October 1979, approved in November 1979 and registered in 1980 (Commons Registration Act 1965). The council is the sole trustee of the charity and linked charity 279976-1. The Governing Document confirms it is a place for exercise and recreation for the inhabitants of the parish and neighbourhood.

The Preston Candover Recreation Association's activities are suspended pending clarification of its role in the management of a public recreation ground, located at Wield Road, Preston Candover, Hampshire. This ground was made available for exercise and recreation to the residents of Preston Candover under the terms of the Preston Candover Inclosure Act 1870. The Association has closed down.
