The Friends are anxious to assist with maintaining & where possible improving upon facilities at the hospital and help with the provision of equipment that otherwise would not be available.

Raise funds for the benefit of Crowborough Hospital, its patients and staff; maintain a hospital shop, operate a Social Day Service at the Hospital Day Centre, and provide transport through 2 wheelchair accessible vehicles utilising volunteer drivers.

The Friends of St Luke's Hospital offer a guiding service for visitors to the hospital, as well as raising funds from the proceeds of two coffee shops on the hospital premises and through donations to benefit all at the hospital. From the funds raised, the charity is able to help doctors or hospital departments obtain items that would not normally be available through normal NHS funding.

Support includes facilitation of visits of healthcare personnel to share skills & experience, assistance with training opportunities for CMC staff both in India & overseas, & financial support for sponsorship of student nurses, assisted healthcare for poor patients & research initiatives.

As our name suggests we provide funds solely for use by the Sheffield Childrens Hospital wards/departments.
