BARNA is the only UK professional association specialising in anaesthetic and recovery nursing.BARNA has provided competencies/educational material to standardise clinical practice.BARNA publishes on-line journal and monthly newsletter available to all members. We have an annual conference that covers all of the UK. We also promote ongoing training, research and clinical audit among nurses.

To assist financially or otherwise, those personnel, or former, or retired personnel and theiri mmediate dependants, who by virtue of illness or premature retirement, or any other reason are in need.

Provides practical and emotional support and assistance to breast cancer patients and their families. Our Counsellors offer help on a voluntary basis at the same time as working along side the professionals at the local hospital. We also offer a help line service.

The objects of the charity is to benefit sick needy persons resident within Lancs, Gr. Manchr, S. Cumbria, Liverpl and Sefton with up to 20% of the net yearly income being available for the benefit of retired district nursing staff who have worked in the same area. There is no restriction on the overall amount to benefit the sick needy. Application of amounts is at the discretion of the trustees.

To assist, in cases of financial need, persons resident in Thatcham and around who have health needs of any kind by providing or paying for items, services or facilities which help and assist the recovery of such persons but which are not readily available to them from other sources and, where funds allow, in cases of financial need alone.

We issue grants to support the health and wellbeing of those in need residing in the City of Leeds Metropolitan District during convalescence. We organise an annual scientific meeting for neuroscientists/physicians/surgeons in the North of England, sponsoring junior doctors, and offering travel grants.

Spiritual healing is the main activity within the church & spiritual healing sanctuary. Also meditation classes are held during the week for peace of mind, for people seeking spiritual help and counselling. The principal activity of the Bridge Pastoral Foundation is the provision of training in pastoral care and counselling through seminars, weekend courses and conferences held in various parts of the UK. A second charitable object has been added, and the constitution amended accordingly, which is the relief of suffering for those in emotional distress.

Provide support for ' Seachange ' Budleigh Salterton ( formerly Budleigh Salterton Hospital ) . Provide support via grants to other organisations in the local area that can improve the health and wellbeing of the local community.

OUR GROUP PROVIDE A MEETING PLACE FOR THE COMMUNITY WHERE HEALTHY LIVING ACTIVITIES TAKE PLACE: KEEP FIT CLASSES, COMMUNITY CHOIR, SLIMMING WORLD CLUB AND MOTHER AND TODDLER GROUP. ROOM/ KITCHEN HIRE IS AVAILABLE; HALL ACCOMMODATES WHEELCHAIR USERS AND PUSHCHAIRS. WE PROVIDE COMMUNITY EVENTS INCLUDING AFTERNOON TEAS, CONCERTS, DEFIBRILLATOR TRAINING, FAIRS, TABLE TOP SALES AND POLLING STATION.

Craft, Drama, Book Groups, Skittles, Walks, Table Tennis, Outings, Produce Groups and Art Group. Members help provide a third Sunday lunch and a first Friday lunch. Cakes and Jams for Macmillan Coffee morning and other charities. Large entry at New Forest Show. Knitted items for Samaritans Purse Shoeboxes. Strong support for Village Community Centre; members take part in Christmas Pantomime.

Service users include- young farmers, the lerdel, merched y wawr, church and chapel fund raising events, remembrance service, funeral teas, healthy living exercise, choir practises etc.
