The main objects of the League are raising funds to provide facilities, additional to those provided by the NHS Trust, in Bridgwater Community Hospital or for Community Nurses working in the area covered by the Hospital. The Bereavement Counselling Service has been available in Warrington since 1987. It was set up as a charity and is validated by the charities commission.The service was primarily set up to support and counsel people who live in the Warrington area who are having difficulties with the natural grieving process, in particular the protection and promotion of good health, both mental and physical.

We provide a three monthly news bulletin magazine for our members in the Midlands area.We make grants to individuals and provide care and counselling services to people with special needs e.g. people with an ileostomy and we raise funds to cover our activities.

The Dempster Trust assists financially individual persons resident in Farnham, those who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress, by making one off grants of money, services or facilities calculated to reduce the need, hardship or distress of such persons.

To maintain the village hall by fundraising and put on events for the local community (eg bingo, skittles, quiz nights, dog training ). We also put on events to fund raise for other charities such as Air Ambulance, MacMillan, etc. The hall is also used by the Parish council and as a polling station

Regular Monday evening meetings consist of a beginners' class, for which no charge is made, an open lecture, an astrological discussion group and a more advanced class. Meetings are open to both members and non-members. The Astrology Quarterly is published 4 times a year, a magazine which is free to members. An annual seminars is held, focused on a specific astrological theme.

Volunteers provide transport for the elderly frail to hospitals, surgeries and clinics. They also undertake shopping, befriending and the occasional odd job. A weekly escorted shopping by minibus provides social contact and enables elderly people to shop independently with help. Ipad familiarization sessions are also offered

To further the efficiency of the Queen Alexandra's Royal Naval Nursing Service for the public benefit by fostering esprit de corp amongst its members and by providing relief for past and present members and their dependants who are in need, hardship and distress.

The hall is used for recreation and education and is open to all. Groups using the hall are dancing,council meetings,exercise and keep fit group,phab adult meetings and socialising, training sessions and bingo.It is also used by the clays practice nurse to hold copd meetings.
