Bethlem Gallery is a visual arts organisation based in London in the grounds of a mental health hospital. In general funds are used to purchase the very varied additional goods and services that the NHS does not provide.

The Charity owns land at Charterhouse Square and leases the majority of this at a peppercorn rent to Queen Mary and Westfield College ("the College") for the benefit of the Medical College of St Bartholomew's Hospital ("the School"), in furtherance of the Charity's objects. The Charity also makes grants to the College for the specific purposes of the School.

The charitable fund enhances the provision of healthcare services that are provided to the population served by DCH NHS Foundation Trust. This encompasses the provision of medical equipment, furniture and furnishings, improvement of the environment and facilities, enhancement of staff and patient education and the welfare of staff and patients.

The charity supports a wide range of charitable and health related activities, benefiting both patients and staff. They include improving the working environment, purchase of medical equipment and the provision of speciality courses.

Any charitable purpose or purposes relating to the National Health Service wholly or mainly for the services provided at Ashford Hospital and St Peter's Hospital

The charity is committed to providing 'Karen's Home from Home' for family members of those undergoing treatment at Hammersmith and other UK hospitals and for providing other appropriate support for haematology patients at leading UK hospitals.

The relief of persons suffering from cancer and leukaemia by providing financial support to the Chartwell unit situated in The Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough, Kent or such other hospitals or organisations as the trustees may determine, to purchase equipment, and by any other charitable means which the trustees determine.
