The provision of self contained living accommodation in eight almshouses in the village of Barnwell.

It works within the framework outlined in its constitution adopted in May 1975 and amended in January 2004.

The Charity Commission has approved that income should be expended for the benefit of nurses and ex nurses of the Royal Free Hospital under the following headings:a) Educational needsb) Recuperative holidays for those in need of a change or who were unable to afford such holidays from thier own resourcesc) Those in need

To provide accommodation in the almshouses for persons qualifying according to the conditions as laid by the Trust Deed

Supporting local community activities and providing trassport to local hospitals and doctors.

We take part in concerts, where all proceeds are for charity. At christmas time we visit hospitals locally, and also the main hospital in the area, Nevil Hall, Abergavenny. We visit all the wards as possible.

Provision of assistance to pensioners re spectacles, dental and chiropody. Hospital. travel and medication expenses to anyone living in Pitstone. In general anyone with a genuine financial need will be considered.

Friends of Emsworth Community Health exist to improve health care and wellbeing in the wider Emsworth community, by using funds to provide equipment and amenities which cannot normally be obtained from other sources. To liaise with organisations and individuals in the community who are concerned with the relief of sickness. To maintain the Garden belonging to the Friends of Emsworth Community H

The principal activity of the charity is the raising of money by donations and fund raising for the purposes of assisting renal patients within The Royal Free Hampstead NHS Trust.

Transporting elderly and disabled persons to club activities, outings, theatre trips, hospitals, doctor appointments as required all at cost prices. We do not receive any funding local or national.

- assisting ENT surgeons in Nepal to provide expert treatment of those suffering from ear disease who live outside the reach of the hospitals in Kathmandu;- helping in the training of young Nepali doctors making a career in ENT surgery;- raising funds for medical equipment and to send highly qualified people to take part in ear surgery operating camps;- supporting primary care projects.

A range of services are provided to support and enhance Christian family life in the Manchester Diocese and overseas. Financial and practical aid assists needs in schools, hospitals, hostels for the homeless, for elderly individuals in parishes,the diocese and where there is urgent need overseas.

The Charity owns 6 Almshouses built c1680. An E shaped block in red brick with pantile roof. They are listed and in a Conservation Area.

THOSE ENTITLED TO HELP ARE DENOTED AS 'STUDENTS AND FORMER STUDENTS OF MEDICINE AND DENTISTRY WHO ATTEND OR ATTENDED EITHER OF THE FOLLOWING INSTITUTIONS AND THE DEPENDENTS OF SUCH PERSONS: THE LONDON HOSPITAL MEDICAL COLLEGE, THE ST BARTHOLOMEW'S AND THE ROYAL LONDON SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AND DENTISTRY AT QUEEN MARY AND WESTFIELD COLLEGE' (NOW KNOWN AS 'QUEEN MARY UNIVERSITY OF LONDON').

The League's activities are personal service and fund raising. The League is responsible for the Hospital shop which opens each weekday from 10 am until 8pm and restricted hours at the weekend and public holidays. The profits from sales along with other moneys raised are used to purchase items for the benefit of the hospital and patients.
