The RCN Foundation supports nursing to improve health and the well-being of the public. We support the development of clinical practice to improve the quality and standard of care and patient experience and the learning and development of nursing and healthcare professionals. The aims of the BSH are to improve the care and outcome of patients with heart failure, and to promote research, education and scientific exchange relating to heart failure.The society's membership comprises cardiologists, GPs, nurses, surgeons, scientists, pharmacists, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals involved with the diagnosis, management or science of heart failure.

Pets As Therapy facilitates visits by registered volunteers with their temperament assessed dogs and cats to establishments including hospitals, hospices, residential and nursing homes, and day care centres, bringing comfort, companionship and therapy into the lives of thousands of patients and residents. Registered PAT dogs and cats also work with phobic children and stroke patients.

Providing support to a wide variety of beneficiaries including nurses, charities involved in animal welfare and research, environmental protection, relief of poverty and youth development.

Provides financial assistance to deserving veterinary surgeons, RVNs and their dependants; provides a helpline and website for veterinary surgeons, students and nurses; provides for the relief of mental and physical illness, associated with compulsive behaviour or stress or depression, which may or may not result from alcohol or drug addiction or other forms of dependence.

The Brain and Spine Foundation offers a UK-wide information service to people affected by neurological conditions. This information is available on the charity's website www.brainandspine.org.uk and in 25+ booklets. A freephone Helpline service is staffed by specialist neuroscience nurses to answer queries on conditions, symptoms and investigations linked to the brain and spine.

The operation of "Lime Tree House" which provides 24-hour Christian Science nursing care in a homely environment.

Cavell is the charity supporting UK nurses, midwives and nursing associates, working and retired, when they're suffering personal or financial hardship. We offer a package of support to help everyone who gets in touch, giving emotional support, advice on maximising benefits, signposting to specialist services and grants to relieve financial hardship for those at greatest risk.

Pastoral work - the charity supports pastoral work of sisters and runs a retreat centre near Chesterfield

Operation of a nursing home

The school provides a public benefit for all families who enroll their baby or child at the school.The school provides affordable childcare and education for all children, whether parents are in receipt of Government benefits or working. Working families benefit from the school remaining open for 50 weeks of the year allowing parents to remain working while their baby or child is being cared for.

The Congregation has been active in the area of education and spiritual accompaniment in England for over 100 years. Due to the increasing age of members the charity supports a large number of sisters in their latter years in nursing and care homes. The charity runs Emmaus House (Whitchurch Bristol) a retreat and conference centre offering a variety of workshops retreats and professional training.

To assist Christian Scientists of small means to pay for Christian Science nursing care

Raises funds by letters of appeal, organises small fundraising events. We purchase equipment for the hospital & also acts as liaison between Rambam and the Homerton Hospital in Hackney, London, in the exchange programme of nurses and other medical personnel.

Orchid Cancer Appeal supports anyone affected by or interested in male specific cancers through a range of support services led by Male Cancer Information Nurse Specialists, awareness campaigns such as the Orchid Male Cancer Awareness Week, education and training programmes and world class research.

Provision of funds, prayers and personnel for the Good News project, including a 57-bed mission hospital, (offering surgery, X-ray, blood transfusion) and serving about 30,000 sq miles. Mac Keith Press publishes information on child neurodisability & developmental medicine in order to advance understanding, treatment & care of children with disabilities. Primarily aimed at a health orientated audience of therapists, doctors, nurses and health workers, publications are also of interest to psychologists, special teachers & others involved in the care of children with disabilities.

To provide an immediate and sustained response to poverty and need in the local community and to support the ongoing wellbeing of those we encounter. main activities include a foodbank, a welfare benefit advice service, a counselling service, housing advice and support and a nurse led health advice and advocacy service.

Church services, regular/occasional events to benefit the local community, prayer meetings, drop-in sessions, a community cafe, parish nursing supporting the community towards whole person welfare, mother and toddler groups, a food bank, healthy eating cooking courses, youth groups, holiday clubs and after school clubs. We will add other activities to meet identified community needs.

Spires is a center for homeless and disadvantaged people. We aim to provide options that allow service users to gain stability in their lives. Services include a rough sleeper's space, showers, clothing, food, women's group, drug and alcohol work, adult learning, mental health support, optician, nurse, dentist, chiropodist, resettlement, tenancy support, outreach, advocacy and emotional support.
