Promoting the arts

The King's Shropshire Light Infantry Regimental Museum incorporates the traditions and history of the Regiment. It collects, documents, conserves, exhibits and interprets items relevant to the history of the Regiment.

The Trust holds photographic exhibitions, loans material to schools and community groups. The Trust publishes images from the collection in avariety of formats. Collects both historic photograph material to complement the existing collection.

Industrial museum on the industrial development of the area in particular the tinplate industry. Aim is to preserve the last remaining hand tin plating facilities in Britian.

Support members of the Press Gallery of House of Commons, or their dependents, who are in need. In so far as the income of the charity cannot be applied towards the primary object it may be used to promote such charitable purposes for the general benefit of parliamentary journalists, former parliamentary journalists and their dependent relatives in such a manner as the trustees think fit.

The Midlands Federation of Museums and Art Galleries is a membership organisation open to all those who work in museums and art galleries in the East and West Midlands. At least four meetings are held annually where relevant museum and gallery sector issues are discussed. Federation officers make representation to many regional and national bodies on behalf of the sector.
