The Museum has been run by volunteers since 1972 and owns its 11-acre site. There is an admission charge and 22,000 visitors pa view 60 aircraft plus over 45,000 aviation artefacts. Aviation history in the eastern counties predominates in the collection. School, Scout and other social groups are welcomed throughout the year and members visit local residential care homes.

The charity exists to support and assist the Chester Grosvenor Museum and promote its use and enjoyment by the public. In furtherance of this, to make loans or gifts of money to enable the Grosvenor Museum to acquire artefacts and also provide funds for their maintenance.

The museum is open by appointment to visitors, researchers and historians. Film screenings are given throughout the year. We work with educational institutions on joint projects. We work with film archives on preservation projects. Items from the collection are made available on loan to other institutions for exhibitions. We run seasonal programmes of events which are listed on our website.

The Bournemouth Aviation Museum is now situated opposite the airport in the grounds of Adventure Wonderland .The museum is open every day during the summer 10am till 5pm and at weekends in the winter from 10am until 4pm. The museum will only be closed during this time due to adverse weather or shortage of volunteers. We always need more volunteers to keep the museum open.

The Embroiderers Guild is a national educational charity with around 1500 members and a network of just over 100 affiliated independent stitch groups. Eyam Museum Ltd. operates a small museum whose central theme is the outbreak of bubonic plague in Eyam in 1665/66. The museum tells the story of the village from prehistoric to modern times, with sets, graphic panels, and artefacts.
