Fund raising for project at stately home - Nostell Priory nr Wakefield. Funds raised are used to assist in upkeep etc of priory - environs.

The Women's Institute organisation is based on the ideals of friendship, truth, tolerance and justice. We aim to advance our member's education in citizenship, national and international affairs, music, drama, science, handicrafts, agriculture, home economics and health and social welfare. We seek to give members the opportunity of working together, and of putting into practice our ideals.

Financial help given to meet a particular need of former students having completed initial teacher training on Dartford Campus/The University of Greenwich and ex-members of staff. Payments towards the cost of provision of service or equipment for the sick and infirm, adaptations to homes of the disabled, fuel bills, travel expenses for hospital, care home or respite care visits.

Raising finance to build a children's home in Sierra Leone

The main purpose of the WI is to enable women interested in arts, crafts and sciences to advance their education in citizenship, in public questions, in music, drama and other cultural subjects and in all branches of agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare. The WI gives women the opportunity of working together to put into practice those ideals for which it stands.

Almshouses

The charity is for the general benefit of the poor in the Parish of Milton Ernest, Bedfordshire. This includes grants for the benefit of persons who are ill, or to support their families with associated costs. The charity also supports people in training for future employment. The charity makes single grants but does not make commitments to provide regular incomes.

The Knollys Chapel houses the Knollys Tomb, an ancient monument which attracts public interest from all over the UK.

Almshouses

Grants will be made to support disadvantaged children from Warrington schools, enabling them to participate in extra curricular activities. These activities usually involve Residential visits and external groups coming to work with children in school. They may also involve taking children out of the school and home environment for less than over night periods.

To grant monies to assist ordained ministers of religion to enable them to have a holiday.
