Housing Charities

The objectives of the charity, which have been applied during the year, are set out in the Trust Deed. Such objectives require the trustees to apply the property, Honeywood House, as a nursing home for the members of the public requiring long or short term care.

HUC exists to: a) operate almshouses, sheltered housing for those in need within the area of benefit; b) use its 'relief in need' power to alleviate poverty within its area of benefit.

We give generalist advice and support to clients at our six sites and various outreach sites. We also provide specialist advice in debt and welfare benefits. We can also refer clients to specialist advisers from other organisations, in employment, immigration, housing etc

Provide almshouse accommodation, to give assistance to the elderly of Lewisham

The provision of high standard affordable accommodation, services and facilities in homely environments for young people on low to moderate incomes who are coming to or in London to work and for others who qualify for priority group housing.

The Charity's objects are the relief of sickness and infirmity through the provision of nursing care and to provide a short stay nursing and convalescent home for the benefit of any disabled or sick person upon terms appropriate to their means and to provide medical and/or nursing care of limited duration for any disabled or sick person.

Moving On works with 16-25 year olds in County Durham who are homeless or vulnerably housed. We offer advice and support to help them obtain and sustain their tenancies. We also offer lifeskills courses, peer education work and employability skills.

Sand Dams Worldwide supports rural dryland communities to work their way out of poverty with dignity. Working with local partners, we support rural communities to gain access to clean water close to their homes and to invest in climate-smart agriculture. In pioneering sand dams we promote and support the application of sand dam technology by key stakeholders in drylands.

The provision of residential care for 37 residents in Halas Homes, the assessment of their changing needs and care as required. Meeting all the requirements of the regulatory body (CSCI) and providing social housing locally for rent by people with a learning disability whose support needs are also provided by Halas Support Service.

The Emmaus Norwich community offers a home and meaningful work to 25 men and women, many of whom have been homeless. Emmaus Norwich is a social enterprise and everyone living in the community signs off benefits to work within their ability in the community's charitable business.

YMCA Fairthorne Housing provides housing programmes, primarily for young people, within a supportive environment. Currently based in Southampton, Basingstoke and the Isle of Wight, there are 132 flats of single occupancy and 9 units for young mothers and their babies. Some additional youth work is delivered for young people in the locality.

Practical support to enable older people to live safely and independently in their own homes. Day services; Information and Advice; Community Team; Community Connectors (social prescribing) service; Befriending & social engagement; Handyperson service; Help at Home service; Dementia support; Community Furniture.

We help people in need in the High Peak, Derbyshire Dales & surrounding areas. We are a broker for volunteers and volunteering organisations. Our practical help services include Befriending, Social Activities, Transport, Home from Hospital and Digital Inclusion support. Our care services provide care for older people, and adults/children with disabilities.

Bilton House aims to provide an excellent standard of residential and dementia care within a caring Christian ethos, for elderly and frail people who can no longer fully care for themselves.

Sheltered Housing and Residential Care for the Elderly

The Boathouse Youth is a Children's Charity based in Blackpool that provides positive recreational and educational activities for children and young people Aged 5 - 17. Our activities are categorised into three departments: Centre Based (within our Youth Centre); Detached & Outreach (on the streets and in the local schools) and Activities & Residential.

The Emmaus Brighton & Hove Community offers a home and meaningful work to 53 men and women, many of whom have been formerly homeless. 7 social enterprises generate funds which support the work of the Community - 6 retail shops and a cafe. Residents (Companions) can stay as long as they need. The Community is committed to helping those in greatest need through its solidarity work.

Shekinah's objectives are the relief of poverty and sickness and the advancement of education, particularly for those who are homeless or otherwise in need, mainly by:The provision of temporary accommodation for the homeless;The provision of meals and clothing for the homeless and others;The provision of training, work placements and resettlement opportunities for the homeless and others.

Refuge,advise, and support services provided to women and children fleeing all forms of Domestic Violence and Abuse including Forced Marriage, Honour Based Violence and FGM. Support & advise includes Counselling, Legal, Community Outreach Support, IDVA service and Specialist FGM service.

Today we support work with 11 -25 year olds through specialist projects and programmes addressing issues that marginalise or place young people at risk, including mental health, homelessness, crime, racism, sexuality, drug & alcohol use, abuse, rural isolation and poverty.

THE CHARITY WORKS WITHIN THE ANCIENT PARISH OF HARBORNE (HARBORNE & SMETHWICK AND PARTS OF QUINTON AND BEARWOOD). IT PROVIDES GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANISATIONS WHICH SUPPORT PEOPLE IN THE AREA AND ALSO PROVIDES HOUSING WITH SUPPORT FOR 100 ELDELY OR DISABLED PEOPLE

Emmaus South Lambeth Community operates three Emmaus residential Communities in Norwood, South London. Emmaus Communities offer homeless people a home, work and the chance to rebuild their lives in a supportive environment. Work is provided in the Community shops and warehouse which sell donated goods.

Sarabande supports creatively fearless minds of the future, artists and designers with a unique vision and dedication to their craft. Sarabande offers full and part scholarships, houses the most affordable artist studios in London and runs a pioneering public programme of events as well as mentoring its alumni to help build a successful and sustainable business that is unique to their vision.

The charity was formed to maintain and manage residential care homes and other forms of accommodation, to provide care, support and advice to enable people with learning disabilities to live in their own homes. The company is also active in all areas surrounding the care and well-being of people with learning disabilities including whenever possible the continued improvement in available services.
