Housing Charities

The charity continues to provide almshouses with on site warden assistance to the residents in order to provide the care and time the Trustees consider sufficient.

The Charity provides unfurnished dwellings for married couples and single persons aged over 55 who are fit and able to care for themselves, have lived for a significant period in the past 20 years within the area of benefit (London Borough of Barnet with preference given to the pre 1965 Urban Districts of East Barnet, Chipping/High Barnet and Friern Barnet) and can establish housing need.

RSPCA West Gwynedd Branch runs an almoning scheme offering free or subsidised neutering of cats and dogs to owners on means-tested benefits, while funds last. We also provide assistance for paying veterinary bills on the same proviso.We re-home cats & kittens.Fund-raising is primarily via our shop at Pwllheli. Provision of homes for widows of dalesmen and farmers living in Waddington and the surrounding parishes

To provide advice, information and help to those with housing need.

We are a group of women living in community under vows of poverty, chastity and obedience. Our works include hospitality for retreats and other purposes, counselling, spiritual direction, preaching, leading quiet days, participation in missions and both voluntary and part-time paid work for other agencies. The pay supports the work of the community in out different houses.

St Scholastica's Retreat is an almshouse for Catholics who are in need of financial assistance and who are aged 60 years and over. It was founded by Elizabeth Harrison in 1861 in Hackney and moved to Princes Risborough in 1972. The sheltered accommodation is provided in 36 self-contained flats. The Lord William Taylour Building provides a Community Room, Laundry & Kitchen; and a room for guests.

The aim of the charity is the support of such charitable purposes which advance the religious and other charitable work carried on in the local community at Hook and in England and Wales generally and also overseas by the congregation via the Mother House in Malta . This work included the maintenance of a residential home for the elderly in Hook until August 2021.

Provision of Almhouse accommodation to 31 Elderly women

The Fellowship meets every week for mutual encouragement and development of relationships with God and with each other. The fellowship offers support in times of difficulties in life. We also supports Christian workers both locally and abroad and train future workers. The fellowship has an ongoing ministry of feeding the homeless every Sunday.

Hogarth's House is the former country home of the 18th century English artist William Hogarth in Chiswick. The House is a museum open to visitors from the public.

Organising shows, trips and activities for the elderly and adults and children with special needs. We also provide free entertainment to Residential Care and Nursing Homes when requested. Grants are made to Special Needs Schools inWiltshire to support their activities.

William Jones's Almshouse Charity provides almshouse accommodation for beneficiaries who are in need, hardship or distress, and have resided in Monmouthshire, with a preference for the town of Monmouth, or in the parishes of Newland, Coleford, or Lydbrook and West Dean, Gloucestershire, for not less than two years.

Almshouse foundation with premises open to the public and having also an educational mandate. Includes Franciscan gardens (greyfriars), the site of the first Franciscan Monastery in England. Eastbridge Hospital is an Anglican foundation with chapels in regular use.

Provision of housing for people in need.

To provide and maintain housing for poor persons from the ancient Parish of Pilton. To provide relief for residents in need from the ancient Parish of Pilton. To provide any other charitable purpose to benefit the inhabitants of the ancient Parish of Pilton.

GIVING RELIGIOUS EDUCATION TO CHILDREN AND ADULTS BY PREACHING OR TEACHING.WE OFFER COUNSELLING AND WELFARE SUPPORT.SUPERVISING STAFF CO-COORDINATING THE ORGANISATION OF MISSIONARY WORK.WORKING WITH THE SICK IN HOSPITAL AS NURSES. WORKING WITH ANCILLA SOUP KITCHEN TO ASSIST THE HOMELESS AND POOR IN THE COMMUNITY. WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE WITHIN THE COMMUNITY.

The policies adopted in furtherance of the Charity's main object is the running of the home for assisted living known as "Hurstleigh" in Shire Lane, Chorleywood.

Independent living for the elderly

Provision and maintenance of almshouse accommodation in Bury St Edmunds.

We offer spaces for conferences, functions and charity events as well as providing adult art classes.The Huddersfield School of Theatre Dance and Northlight physiotherapy gym are also based in our premises. We are a Christian charity and as such are involved with and provide support to Hope Huddersfield which co-ordinate churches across Huddersfield and also home to the Ark Church for services.

Provision of affordable almshouses for people in need in Spitalfields.

The objective of the Trust is to apply its income towards relieving those customers who are in conditions of need, poverty, hardship or other distress and are having difficulty making payment for the supply of water to their home but make regular payments for an amount they can afford.

Provides a range of services and activities either independently or with other local agencies to improve the lives of local families, adults, children and young people. Run time-bound projects including energy and environmental projects We run several small social enterprises providing employment for local people such as match day car parking, community cafe.
