Housing Charities

Since 1982 the Manna House Trust has sought to serve the community by providing access to professional counselling services, accredited courses to students training to be future counsellors and supervisors, and wellbeing workshops, for everyone in Northamptonshire irrespective of faith background or ability to pay. It has also provided a coffee shop, bookshop and flats for the homeless.

The provision of housing accommodation for persons over 60 years of age and of good character who are in need, hardship or distress, with a preference being given to those aged over 63 years of age who are members of the Church of England.

The Charity makes donations for the benefit of children and other charitable causes.The Charity sponsors visits to Childrens' care homes and hospices by the theatrical group, Magical Quests.The Charity supports the Society of Friends of Jewish Refugees and the Cinematograph Trades Benevolent Fund.

Our charitable Trust typically supports Devon charities/organisations who focus on the care, education and training of children and young people under 25.

To provide Almshouses for persons of limited financial means aged between 55 and 70 upon initial occupation. Residents must be of good character and members of the Church of England

The provision of almshousing for qualifying elderly people in need.

Almshouse with individual flats where elderly people can live independently.

Provision of Accommodation to be made available rent free or at such rent or other charge for the poor, aged or infirm born in Nottinghamshire.

Residential Care Home for Ladies

1) REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF ALMSHOUSES FOR DESERVING POOR PERSONS WHO ARE RETIRED SEAMEN, WIDOWS OR DAUGHTERS BEING NOT LESS THAN FIFTY YEARS OF AGE.2) BENEFIT OF THE OCCUPANTS OF THE SAID ALMSHOUSES.

The Museum has been run by volunteers since 1972 and owns its 11-acre site. There is an admission charge and 22,000 visitors pa view 60 aircraft plus over 45,000 aviation artefacts. Aviation history in the eastern counties predominates in the collection. School, Scout and other social groups are welcomed throughout the year and members visit local residential care homes.

Provision of flats and bungalows which are specially designed with the needs of older people in mind. There is a resident manager.

An independently registered charity responsible for raising its own funds. We promote the health & wellbeing of anyone over 55 living in and around Kingsbridge. Our services include: daily drop-in 'Chatty Cafe' (Mon-Sat), lunch (Mon-Fri), breakfast (Sat), meals on wheels (Mon-Fri), home help & gardening support, advice & signposting, activities and support groups, room hire for community events.

Provision of almhouse accommodation in Monmouthshire and Newport

The animal rescue charity provides sanctuary (safe haven) throughout the UK for all animals whether domesticated or wild. Without exception, the prevention of suffering and preservation of life is paramount. The ultimate objective is to re-home or re-habilitate. Operates save a dog (SAD) campaign to rescue dogs facing euthanasia from Uk dog pounds.

PROVIDES ADVOCACY/ADVICE/INFORMATION , PROVIDE SERVICES. PROVIDE HUMAN RESOURCES, EDUCATION, TRAINING, THE ADVANCEMENT OF HEALTH OR SAVING OF LIVES, DISABILITY, THE PREVENTION OF RELIEF OF POVERTY, ACCOMMODATION/HOUSING, ARTS/CULTURE/HERITAGE/SCIENCE, ECONOMIC/COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT /EMPLOYMENT.

Provision & maintenance of Almshouses in Macclesfield, Cheshire.

The Charity provides additional benefits for the St Clement Danes Church of England Primary School and financial assistance to former pupils who are in further or higher education or learning a profession who have not yet reached the age of 25 years. After assisting the above any residual income may be allocated to young people under 25 years whose family home is within the Diocese of London.

We support the development of self-sustaining local organisations in Africa and Asia that work with urban poor communities to help realise their right to land, housing and basic services. We provide a range of grants, loans and other support that these organisations need to deliver land, housing and basic services at increased scale and in new ways.

We are a community, committee run preschool. We are based in the local primary school and enjoy a close relationship with the school.Our local area is very mixed with regards to housing and age of residents.

We hold services for public worship each Sunday. We also run regular youth and children's clubs, language classes, a foodbank, a toddlers group, a sewing class and a night shelter for the homeless through the winter.

The charity maintains almshouse properties for the benefit of qualifying residents. These must be over 55 years of age and who have been living in Langley or its catchment area and who are able to care for themselves.

Rescue and rehome abandoned, unwanted and homeless cats & kittens.

The provision of Warden assisted housing for those in need, with priority to those living in the districts of Salisbury and Wilton. The Charity maintains 19 units of accommodation.
