Housing Charities

We take homeless people off the streets who have been assessed and referred by key workers and are committed and motivated to the challenge of getting back on track. We provide them with a room in a shared property and help them to find a job, save funds and find permanent accommodation, with aftercare. We provide them with physical, mental and spiritual care with a Christian faith-based focus.

Rescue, rehabilitate and re-home stray and abandoned cats and kittens throughout the West Midlands

The Freud Museum exists to promote the intellectual and cultural legacy of Sigmund Freud's life and work and to further their contemporary relevance through educational activities and exhibitions. The museum conserves Freud's last home at 20 Maresfield Gardens with its antiquities collection and archives, as a historical memorial to his life and work and as a source of inspiration and enjoyment.

Provision of guest houses for the reception, accommodation, boarding and maintenance of foreign and home missionaries and Christian friends.

To provide a home for permanent residence of Jewish people who are aged, in particular but not exclusively for poor Jewish persons who have been resident in Southport.To provide a convalescent home for poor Jewish people.With discretion for the Trustees to waive the requirement for a beneficiary under either of the above objects to be Jewish.

The Congregation has been active in the area of education and spiritual accompaniment in England for over 100 years. Due to the increasing age of members the charity supports a large number of sisters in their latter years in nursing and care homes. The charity runs Emmaus House (Whitchurch Bristol) a retreat and conference centre offering a variety of workshops retreats and professional training.

Home visits, training in IT skills, telephone advice, advice and support at hospital information desk and at resource centres generally to promote the physical mental and spiritual well being of the visual impaired in our area of operation.

Provision of almshouses for older people and grants to individuals

Provide a range of services to both asylum seekers & refugees living on Teesside. We provide food & housing to destitute asylum seekers. We provide housing, a work club & training opportunities to refugees. A range of drop in service fostering community integration and English Classes (ESOL).

During the year 2014/15 the Trust's primary focus was the continued development of East Clayton Farm - accommodation and farm for people and families affected by disabilities and homelessness (including poverty and social exclusion).

We provide residential care for people age 18-65 with disabilities who require 24 hour support. This is suitable for people who no longer can live on their own or in supported living, or for people who have been supported by their carer and it has become too difficult for them to continue caring for them. we also offer day care and respite care.

Continuation of project to establish an Emmaus Community for homeless people in Gateshead and/or in adjacent Metropolitan Boroughs in Tyne & Wear

We help a homeless person have a place to call home by providing: 1. Immediate, safe, short-term accommodation; they should never need to sleep rough!2. Experienced, compassionate staff; trained to understand the causes of homelessness3. Skilled support, tailored to their precise situation, that helps them find a long-term home. Only York Road Project provides all 3 things in our locality

SCMSH Ltd provides supported accommodation to homeless individuals with multiple complex needs in Stockton-On-Tees. Accommodation is provided at Bridge House Hostel, offering 28 bedrooms. Support staff provide support onsite and through facilitated support with partner agencies in the local community.

Supporting journalists and their dependants by the provision of retirement housing facilities. Also by making grants in approved cases to individuals who meet the occupational requirement.

NEWLAND HURST LTD IS A HOME FOR ADULTS WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES.

The PCC Of St James with St Matthew has the responsibility, together with the incumbent for promoting the whole mission of the Church of England in its local parish. This responsibility covers evangelistic, pastoral, social and ecumenical matters. It also has the maintenance responsibilities for the Church, Parish Centre and Birchwood Centre and the houses occupied by clergy and staff.

Mayday Trust provides The PTS Response, person-led, transitional and strengths-based coaching. Returning control to people to shape their own futures. We developed strengths-based, person-led coaching to people experiencing tough times like homelessness or leaving care. We use the learning and values of this approach to help organisations and local area implement practical strengths-based working

PROVISION OF A RESIDENTIAL HOME FOR LOW DEPENDENCY ELDERLY PEOPLE

Provision House ( formerly known as Loaves N Fishes )is a Christian Charity set up in 2010 to help those who cannot afford items to build a home. We provide furniture, other household items and clothing.Referrals of people come from organisations dealing with homeless, council teams, probation services etc.However our remit has now expanded to cover a wider area of provision and services.

The charity has identified two focus areas through which it aims to drive social impact. Helping people experiencing hardship and/or underserved groups to access a place to call home and improve financial wellbeing. The trustees will select charities based on their alignment with one or both focus areas.

Barnabus (Manchester) is a Christian charity offering practical, emotional and spiritual support to rough sleepers and those who are vulnerably housed in Manchester. Our Drop In Centre offers food, showers,clothing, access to medical care and activities; our Support Office offers accommodation referrals, advice resettlement and employment. We run an employability project, ReNu, furniture upcycling

SOS works to protect orangutans, their forests and their future. We fund partners and projects that support the long-term conservation of Sumatran orangutans and their habitat, scale up the reach and impact of conservation programmes, and advocate for Sumatran orangutans and their rainforest home.
