Our current activities are music & dancing, youth clubs, arts and drama, choir practices, musical education, health education, drug and alcohol counselling, providing housing for those affected by alcohol and drugs.

Employment of three workers to work caring for abandoned children, and overseeing our projects, which include support financially for an old peoples home, three schools, two in gypsy villages, citys youth club, pensioners club, and two hospitals. Also providing practical support and donated goods.

Education/Training

Orrets Meadow School PTA raise funds to support activities and events that will benefit the children of the school, which is a primary school for pupils with special educational needs.

We perform concerts for many senior citizens homes, for other charities, and the general public. Our aim is to educate and entertain the public in the art of male choral music and singing.

The Rickfield Trust is a grant- making trust, operating principally in support of organisations dedicated to the relief of poverty and its consequences at home and abroad, with a particular interest in the support of Christian-run charities

The principal objective of the charity is the advancement of religion to include:- the pastoral care of individuals and groups- assistance with the on-going education of children and young adults- the relief of poverty and sickness at home and abroad- welcoming students from poorer countries to study at accredited educational facilities in the UK and Ireland- providing places of retreat

Providing housing for elderley

Mountain Ash YMCA is dedicated to helping and supporting young people and welcomes all. We achieve this by running a Youth Club, Young Adults Carers Project, Emergency Accommodation Unit and a Community Learning Centre. We also run a Youth Engagement project.

Provision and maintenance of Almshouses for poor women or widowers of character not less than 60 years of age at the time of appointment, preference shall first be given to the aforesaid and resident in Cottesbrooke.

The Charity initially provided accommodation to ladies on their own who had reached the age of 60 years. It is now open to single ladies of 50 years and over who wish to reside in one of 6 almshouses and pay a weekly maintenance contribution.

Fund raising activity is undertaken by the charity, members are parents of pupils and teachers at the school. The charity and the school decide each year upon an appropriate project which the charity can support. Past projects include playground enhancements and technology. Monies are raised through a variety of activities ranging from summer and Xmas fairs, cake sales to curry and quiz nights.
