IFHS promotes the science of surveying at sea and related sciences by providing a channel for the exchange of information between those engaged or interested in hydrography or related disciplines.The charity publishes regular journals and arranges seminars, conferences and other relevant events. It also operates and Education Fund to assist students and those at the outset of their careers.
