We hold competitions and an annual show to demonstrate to the public rural activities within Agriculture, Forestry and Horticulture.We raise money to help young people through their training in rural industries and help schools with education

Our object is to advance the education of the public in the subject of horticulture and horticultural practices. We aim to teach and learn about sustainable growing practices in the High Peak climate; share knowledge with our volunteers and visitors; support the aim of long term food security; and build and maintain an environment where all people are welcome,

The Trust owns these historic woodland gardens, listed Grade 2*, based on a design by Humphrey Repton which adjoin Antony House, Cornwall (a National Trust property), which are regularly open to the public. The gardens are also used for the purposes of research, with a view to furthering the study and science of botany and the improvement of the methods and practice of horticulture.

1) To promote the advancement of training for the land based employment within Derbyshire and surrounding geographical area.2) To support other organisations in maintaining standards related to the awards. 3) Facilitate the recruitment and training of verifiers for awards related to land based work.4) Liaise with other training & education providers to enhance opportunities.

The historic Gardens are maintained for the enjoyment of the public, for the growth and propagation of trees and plants, for the furtherance of the study and science of botany, and for the promotion of the conservation of nature, especially those rarer species of plants and trees in danger of loss of cultivation.

Computer Training, Crafts, Gardening Group, Advanced and Basic Card Making, Reading Group, Crochet Circle, Coffee Mornings, Line Dancing, Dance School, Internet Caf+®, Bingo, Tai Chi, Ballroom Dancing, Healthy Cooking, Computer Card Making Classes, Social, Heath and Community Events. We also provide the provision of Generic Counselling, Credit Union and the Expert Patients Programme.

INTERACT WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES, CAMPAIGNING ON ISSUES AFFECTING QUALITY OF LIFE SUCH AS ROAD SAFETY. RUN ACTIVITIES/EVENTS FOR VARIOUS SECTIONS OF THE COMMUNITY SUCH AS YOUTH CLUB, GARDENING CLUB AND LUNCH CLUB. PROVIDE A FORUM WHEREBY THERE IS LIAISON AND COMMUNITY SPIRIT BETWEEN VARIOUS SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS. ACQUIRED THE CLOSED METHODIST CHAPEL FOR USE AS A VILLAGE HALL.

Improve the welfare and general wellbeing of the older members of the Newport Pagnell community by organising and running a variety of activities. The charity provides a day centre, a weekly club, a weekly exercise group, computer classes, art class, gardening club, friends group, tai-chi class, pop-in centre and monthly lunches. In addition, trips out are provided along with Christmas events.

We host communal gardening and outdoor cooking opportunities, seasonal celebration events for our community of garden volunteers, outdoor skills sharing workshops.We offer our garden space as a unique outdoor venue for therapeutic activities.We share learning through hosting skills sharing opportunities, visual tools, books and learning resources, and an online collaboration platform.

Provides hot freshly cooked 3 course meals to homeless and vulnerable people at two weekly drop in sessions. The sessions cater for between 50 to 150 people. We also provide practical advice on where to find emergency accommodation and work with outreach and health services. We also run a gardening project that involves services users in growing the vegetables that contribute to the meals.

We are a community facility that provides recreational & training facilities for local inhabitants and for specific groups, club & societies including:- Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi, Indoor Bowls, Football, Gardening Club, History Group, Parish Council Meetings and also for private parties. As of Jan 2023, we also have a Community Cafe with good parking and high speed broadband/internet access.

THE WOODFIELD PROJECTS ACTIVITIES ARE TO:(1) RUN THE PAVILION AS A COMMUNITY HUB FOR SCHOOLS AND LOCAL GROUPS; (2) PROVIDE A SAFE GREEN SPACE FOR LEARNING, RECREATION, LEISURE, AND SOCIAL INCLUSION; (3) PROMOTE THE CONSERVATION OF THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT; AND (4) PROVIDE HORTICULTURAL TRAINING FOR LOCAL PEOPLE TO INCREASE THEIR EMPLOYMENT PROSPECTS.

Running interest groups: Art Appreciation, Book Clubs, Card Games, Collectables, Creative Writing, Craft, Exploring London, Family History, French, Gardening, Military History, Science & Technology, Golf, Italian, Jazz, Musical Instruments, Latin, Literature, Local History, Dancing, Music, Outings, Painting, Photography, Scrabble, Spanish, Theatre, Walking, Yoga.

Provide a Village Hall for the benefit of the residents of the Parish of Bramshaw. Hall is used for Dancing (Tango, Mojive, Line, Old Time etc) Private Parties, Weddings, W.I. Theatre Groups, Orchestras, Toddler Groups, Horticulture Society, Film Club and many more organisations. It has limited capacity for holding sporting activities for example Short Mat Bowls.

To provide a facility for the inhabitants of Jaywick and the surrounding areas, a Care Farm providing opportunities in agriculture,horticulture, crafts , the natural environment, animal husbandry. Providing opportunities in Volunteering and placements from surrounding colleges and schools in work experience and vocational skills.

Providing assistance and support for charities and charitable purposes connected with - animals-rescuers at sea and seafarers-cultivation of medicine and surgery-churches in Merseyside

Further work skills and creating employment for young people with special educational needs and autism. Undertaking conservation, gardening and horticulture activities in our local area.

Ripley and District Agricultural and Horticultural Society Limited operates an annual show and has done for in excess of 160 years. The show is held on the 2nd Sunday in August in Ripley Castle Park by kind permission of Sir Thomas and Lady Ingilby. The show covers a broad spectrum of agricultural, horticultural, equestrian and other major attractions and is run on a full charitable basis.

Within the parish of Colyton, the relief of those in need; the advancement of education and training; the advancement of citizenship and community development; the advancement of the heritage of Colyton; securing facilities for recreation, services, and amenities; the beautification of the parish of Colyton; and the promotion of industry, commerce, agriculture and horticulture.

The foundation applies income and capital in provision of grants to charitable organisations for the purposes of education, and housing and training for those with learning difficulties, the advancement of knowledge of the history and techniques of interior decoration, fabric design, other decorative materials and landscape gardening, including with reference to the work of Oliver Ford.

The purpose is the provision of gardening sessions ( led by tutors) as a form of therapy for all age groups in all circumstances. Our beneficiaries enjoy being part of social groups and the opportunity to get involved in growing plants, harvesting produce and exhibiting at our Autumn Show. There are also social events including a BBQ.

NCEL operates various initiatives and projects to better the lives of disadvantaged people living within Stobhill and throughout South East Northumberland. Our services are open to all age ranges and run from our Stobhill Link Community Hub. We offer volunteer opportunities and address local issues such as health and wellbeing, unemployment, skills building, horticulture and social inclusion.

Lets Get Growing provides regular gardening therapy sessions for adults of all ages experiencing a range of mental and physical health difficulties, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, bi polar disorder, dementia and mild learning difficulties. Also one-off therapeutic garden workshops for a range of groups, including addicts in recovery, homeless people, carers, refugees & asylum seeekers.
