Age Concern Luton provides a wide range of services to meet the different needs of older people and their carers in Luton. This includes home support, gardening service, a visiting scheme, telephone club, home repair scheme, lunch and social clubs, advice and information, enhancing lives scheme, hospital discharge service, advocacy, mental health and dementia drop in sessions.

The charity helps adults to regain mainstream employment and volunteering opportunities and provides support to aid recovery.

The promotion of horticulture and floriculture by the holding of an annual show on the Sandringham Estate for the benefit of the public for the exhibition of flowers, fruit and vegetables and by such other means as the Trustees may from time to time think fit, and to distribute to charities, chosen annually by the Society, all funds held by the Society that are surplus to requirements.

The Charity is for adults who have learning, physical or mental health disabilities with training, socialisation and work experience opportunities in a friendly, person-centred setting to assist them to lead rewarding lives, realise their potential and to build their confidence. Widcombe Acorns Pre-School is Bath's only City Centre Forest School and provides daycare for pre-schoolers. Our children love being outside in all weathers exploring our fantastic outdoor space, building dens, gardening & cooking on the camp fire. Graded "outstanding" by Ofsted for the past 4 inspections, we have a safe, happy & creative environment with well thought-out indoor and outdoor space.

The charity continues to fulfil the requirements of its primary objective, being the promotion of horticultural education. This has been achieved by organising the annual Shrewsbury Flower Show, organising lectures on horticultural events, supporting, through the Percy Thrower Bursary the Young Horticulturist of the Year competition and by making charitable donations.
