Leisure Charities That specialise in Sports

We are mainly an environmental organisation. Over the last few years we have not been operating due to not having a lease on the land and unable to obtain liability insurance. We now have a Lease on the land and are now planning our future activities. We are opening our Community Garden on the 1st April 2013 and this will be accessible for all people. We also have a sports pitch.

Support for children's holidays, visits, cultural, sporting, and adventure activities.

Open space for recreational use. Childrens' play area and sports field. Car park used weekly by mobile food vans. Maintenance of area.

The charity is a recreation ground provided for informal recreation and some organised sports. There is free access to the open space at all times.

We put on events and activities for the local community with particular emphasis in children and elderly.

Makes Nobles Field Recreation Ground available for recreation and sport.

The charity provides assistance to individual students with special needs. It assists students with sporting ability to obtain high level coaching. It provides schools with awards to recognise effort and progress.

Provision of sports facilities

Assists Local Football Referees who are members of the Society should they require financialhelp when in difficulty

Provide sport and social activities for disabled people and their families and friends

Sport/recreation

to enable disabled people to swim in a watersafe enviroment and participate in local, regional, national and international swimming galas with other disabled people and their swimming clubs .

Provide playing field and changing facilities for sport also meeting room for Parish Council, and a number of local groups.

Provides a sports field for the use of the people of Marton and subsidise the provisioning of kit and equipment.

The main purpose of the womens institute organisation is to enable women who are interested in rural issues to improve and develop conditions of rural life; to advance their education in citizenship, cultural subjects, sports and all branches of agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health & social welfare and uphold WI ideals.

Activities involve a monthly meeting which provides an opportunity for educational and social pastimes, a forum for discussions and an opportunity to supply friendly support when needed.Further afield there are ample opportunities within the national organisation for an even wider range of sport, travel, competition and exhibition.

Relief of poverty & religious activities

Provides football pitch currently used by Hollington United Football Club - ground maintained by club. Provides bowling green currently used by Hollington Old Church Bowls Club - green maintained by club.

Provides a field for public recreation and sport

Raise money to buy equipment and sundries for Solihull Hospital solely for the purpose of the welfare of the patients. We also provide a trolley service to all the wards serving sweets confectionary and non alcoholic drinks to the patients. We also run golf days, summer fete, social functions and a sales in the hospital for the visitors on a weekly basis.

Settling claims for local football injuries.Assisting other local charities dealing with terminal illnesses.

Manage a community green space & promote community spirit.The grass and the trees on the park are maintained for people and wildlife.Children play games and sports on the park, mostly these are informal helping socialisation.There are a series of social activities organised which local people attend.The informal play and the organised activities all help in building a community.

SWIMMING THERAPY AND ACTIVITIES FOR ANYONE FROM 2-100 YEARS OLD WHO HAVE A LEARNING OR PHYSICAL DISABILITY.SOUTH CHESHIRE/NORTH STAFFORDSHIRE AREA.TRAINED VOLUNTEERS TO SUPPORT SWIMMERS.MEMBERSHIP -£10 A YEAR.WK SESSIONS -£1 MEET ALSAGER LEISURE CENTRE SUNDAY EVENINGS 4.15 - 5.15 PM .FAMILY MEMBERS WELCOMED TO SWIM OR OBSERVE.FOCUS IS ON ENJOYMENT,SOCIALISING AND PHYSICAL EXERCISE.

The provision of facilities and funding to enable young people tp play hockey or other games or sportsin order to assist in their physical education and the development and occupation of their minds.Also the provision or assistance in the provision of facilities for recreation or leisure time for the benefit of the general public or others who by reason of age, or infirmity need such facilties.
