The education and training of young people (aged 10 to 18) in a range of activities and life skills. Some associated with sailing/boating and the traditions of the Royal Navy. Others involving climbing and other outdoor activities; music; computing; cookery skills; etc....

We provide and maintain community sports and recreation facilities for people of all ages in Nunthorpe, Marton and Ormesby. Through football, cricket, racket sports, running, quoits, volunteering and community activities, we promote health, wellbeing, social inclusion and active lifestyles while preserving open space for public benefit

We provide the clubhouse for social meetings and for informal leisure pursuits such as playing cards. We also rent out the clubhouse for one-off events such as parties. Organised activities are whist, crown green bowling, with ladies, mens and mixed teams, tennis on hard courts, indoor short-mat bowls and ladies darts. Cash bingo takes place on Monday and Saturday evenings.

Promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. We are a Community Centre offering facilites to a variety of regular user groups and sports clubs. We also hire out small rooms for meetinga and training courses and our large halls for parties. We have a Social Club as part of the premises providing a licensed bar to members and catering services.

The Charity promotes gymnastics and provides gymnastics coaching facilities. It operates a purpose built gymnastics centre in Andover Hampshire. It has achieved National Centre of Excellence status.

We are a local charity that has sports facilities & pitches. We have numerous football & rugby teams from 5 years old up to open age. We have crown green bowling facilities with many teams as well as a ladies rounders team. We have full disabled access in our club house & pavilion. The club house is used for recreational sports such as snooker as well as a large concert room for events.

Sport recreation

Providing community facilities for people of all ages within our local area. This includes provision for children and senior citizens as well as providing a venue for a large range of sporting, recreational, cultural and social activities.

The main activities of the Group are based on both the land and the sea. Beavers, Cubs and Scouts all take part in a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Scouts spend the summer months afloat, sailing the Group's fleet of boats under the tuition of the Group's instructors. All sections also take part in District Scouting activities.

The charity provides low cost transport to "not-for-profit" groups/organisations. We are a membership only charity and our members are generally within the Bradford Metropolitan District. We provide minibus transport for community groups, schools, not for profit schemes, sports clubs, day centres etc.We also provide a one to one car service for people who cannot use public transport.

The Parks continues to be well used by the community as the major open space in this area of Seaham. We are a community facility that provides recreational & training facilities for local inhabitants and for specific groups, club & societies including:- Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi, Indoor Bowls, Football, Gardening Club, History Group, Parish Council Meetings and also for private parties. As of Jan 2023, we also have a Community Cafe with good parking and high speed broadband/internet access.
