Leisure Charities That specialise in Sports

We are the democratic representation body for the students at Brunel University.We provide advice and support on a range of student lifestyle and academic matters including pro active campaigning and education on issues affecting young adults . We facilitate clubs and venues for our members sporting, social and cultural activities.

Ipswich Town Foundation is the official charity of Ipswich Town Football Club, using the power of Ipswich Town FC to make a genuine positive difference to the lives of individuals and groups in Suffolk. We deliver a diverse range of programmes across community participation and inclusion, education and employability, health and wellbeing and sport and physical activity.

To give people of mixed abilities and circumstances the freedom to explore their ability, potential and place in the world through inclusive adventures at sea.

Two grant programmes are open to applications:1. Opportunities through Sport - applications accepted from charities throughout the United Kingdom;2. Special Needs and Care for Children and Young People - applications accepted from charities where the beneficiaries are in: Berkshire; Buckinghamshire; Hampshire; Isle of Wight; Kent; Oxfordshire; Surrey; East Sussex; and West Sussex.

Promotion of Community participation in healthy recreation. Providing facilities for sport, education, leisure,health checks to such persons who have need by reason of youth, age, infirmity, disablement, poverty or social and economic circumstances - with the object of improving conditions of life and to advance the education of adults, children and young people.

The Saints Foundation is established for the promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of children in full time education and disadvantaged adults residing in the county of Hampshire and other neighbouring areas by the provision of facilities and opportunities for the playing of and learning from football.

Our mission is to transform the lives of young people from disadvantaged communities through sport.We support volunteer-led sports clubs to reach their full potential to connect young people in their communities with the social and health benefits of sport.We help club leaders and volunteers make the most of their passion and dedication providing advice, connections, and funding.

WE PROVIDE HOMECARE SERVICES TO CLIENTS IN THEIR OWN HOME. WE ALSO HELP DISABLED PEOPLE TO ACCESS SPORTS ACTIVITIES.

Sport, educational programmes and social activities

St Joseph's School is an educational charity for children, providing first class education for children aged 4-16. We aim to provide the highest quality of academic tuition and the development of wider sporting, artisitic and social skills in all our pupils.

Activity Alliance (the operating name for the English Federation of Disability Sport) brings members, partners and disabled people together to make active lives possible. We work with many amazing people and are at the centre of influential world-renowned programmes for disabled people. Collectively, we continue to challenge perceptions and change the reality of disability, inclusion and sport.

- To promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing opportunities for the playing of association football and other sports;- To provide, and assist in providing, facilities for sport, recreation or other leisure time occupation in the interests of social welfare;- To advance the education of children and young people through such means as the trustees think fit;

To further assist in the education (inc. social and physical training) of children attending schools within West Bromwich and the surrounding area through the use of the game of football (inc. its history and rules) and other sports activities as educational tools and in furtherance to provide West Bromwich and the surrounding areas with facilities at WBA FC for meetings, lectures and classes.

The Charity provides opportunities for children and young people of all abilities to engage in football and other sporting activities by providing activities and venues within Rotherham and its surrounding areas for children and young people to play sport and to benefit from qualified football coaching.

THE BLACKPOOL F.C. COMMUNITY TRUST OBJECTS ARE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC GENERALLY AND, IN PARTICULAR, THE INHABITANTS OF BLACKPOOL AND ITS SURROUNDING AREAS:- COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION AND IMPROVING HEALTH- PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR SPORTS AND RECREATION- ADVANCING THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

Swindon & Gloucestershire Mind provides a Community & Wellbeing programme consisting of; One to one advice, Counselling & Wellbeing Coordination. Activity & social inclusion in the community including Sport, Walking, Connect & Meet, Creative classes& Football. Mental Health Training, Schools programme, Employment Services Support & Swindon Mindful Employers Network & evening Calming cafe model.

Provision of adventurous activities including but not limited to: Sailing, Canoeing,Jet Ski and inflatable tows,Climbing,High Ropes, Abseil,Archery, Shooting, All Terrain Boards, Off Road driving, Team Build Activities including improvised rafts.Provision of Accommodation (Catered and Self catering): Brick built residential building (48 beds) tent villages (200 beds)

The Charity provides representational services, advice, support and services to students of the University of Hertfordshire. The charity provides a range of charitable services relating to social facilities, access to employment and volunteering opportunities as well as providing opportunities to participate in a range of cultural, sporting and other activities.

The advancement of education of students at Buckinghamshire New University for the public benefit by: promoting the interests and welfare of students during their course of study, representing, supporting and advising students and providing social, cultural, sporting and recreational activities and forums for discussions and debate for the personal development of its students.

Staffordshire Students' Union is the representative body for its students. A focus of its work is the provision of a range of services aimed at improving academic, social, cultural and sporting experiences, building a sense of community and belonging to the University and wider community. It provides advice and guidance on academic, financial, employment, housing and welfare issues.

The Union promotes the interests and welfare of students at the University of Leicester by representing, supporting and advising students; being the recognised representative channel between students and the university and any other bodies; and providing social, cultural, sporting and recreational activities and forums for debate for the personal development of its students.

Amongst the comprehensive facilities and services that The Muath Trust offers are:Education & Training Programmes, Nursery, Sports Hall, Youth Club, Meeting and Conference facilities, Supported Accommodation Service, Elderly Day Service, Cultural Programmes, Women Only Courses, Supplementary Schools,Playschemes, Business Units and Canteen

We aim to enable young people aged 8 to 25 especially from disadvantaged circumstances to realise their full potential. This is achieved by a range of universal and targeted programmes designed by young people to meet their needs. In 2002, we opened a state of the art youth facility from where 3,400 young people access sport, mentoring and arts activities "under one roof", seven days per week.

The Union of Students is responsible for the Programme and College Representative structures which support the advancement of education for students of the University of Derby in ensuring academic quality and development is maintained. The Union provides access to sports, society and volunteering activities for students and a confidential and independent Advice service.
