Leisure Charities

Provide services and support for people with a learning disability in Braintree District by offering learning and recreational opportunities, advice and information to maximise their potential enjoyment, quality of life and general well-being. Support is also offered to their families and carers. Activities take place at Charles Leeks House and, where possible, in the wider community.

TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF NORTHAMPTON EAST AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, THOSE WHO ARE ECONOMICALLY OR SOCIALLY DISADVANTAGED, CHILDREN, THE ELDERLY AND THE DISABLED, BY PROVIDING FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE, FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE SAID INHABITANTS.

The church have been working with the youth in Enfield borough through evangelism preaching the word of God and to promote good behaviour. We have also been putting up various activities such as gospel concert, football, and seminars.We plan to work with the London Borough of Enfield to raise funds to enable us to put on various projects such as health, and music lessons for youth and elderly.

Courses and study facilities in meditation and Buddhism. Yoga and tai chi. Visits to and from local schools and colleges. Information resource to the public with access to library. Day retreats and group for carers. Meditation courses designed for coping with depression and chronic pain. Open days and arts events. Celebration of Buddhist festivals. Financial support to practising Buddhists.

TO ADVANCE IN LIFE & RELIEVE NEEDS OF YOUNG PEOPLE THROUGH PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES IN INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE. DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS & CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE PARTICIPATION IN SOCIETY AS MATURE, RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS. ADULT EDUCATION/TRAINING TO ENLIVEN LEARNING, INSPIRE FULL PARTICIPATION, BUILD GROUP COHESION & DEVELOP SAFE ENVIRONMENTS WHICH ENABLE AUTHENTIC COMMUNICATION.

Support children and young people with disabilities and their families by providing advice, information, respite and recreational activities.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the inhabitants of Broomfield and surrounding areas, through the organisation and provision of pitches and clubhouse facilities and equipment which will encourage children of all ages and young adults to play football.

Promoting & providing facilities for Islamic religion.Providing facilities in the interest of social welfare & leisure time activities for the people of Wolverhampton.

To promote and improve agriculture, horticulture and the breeding and rearing of livestock via events such as Henley Farm & Country Show and an annual ploughing match.

Provision of practical, social and pastoral support to refugees and asylum seekers in the Chichester area. This includes a weekly Drop-In, Befriending, English tuition, a football-based project for young men and a Pathways to Independence project. Support and signposting are also offered to those families currently hosting refugees from the war in Ukraine

The provision of recreational facilities for the area of Shottermill, Haslemere, Surrey

The Charity seeks to improve the conditions of life of residents of all ages in the villages of Histon & Impington and its environs by:a) promoting and supporting for mental and physical wellbeing b) developing, providing and supporting opportunities and facilities for sporting, exercise and recreation c) providing and maintaining community transport services

Using roller sports to engage children and young people into sport, 4 - 18 year olds ,and families as throughout the UK. Addressing physical and mental health, wellbeing, education, employability, crime and community building.

The activities of the CIO are the further advancement of education of pupils at The Windsor Boys' School (the 'School') by providing or assisting in the provision of rowing facilities.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation in particular by the provision of facilities and instruction for gymnastics and related activities

The Charity's objects ("the objects") are to advance the education of boys and girls regardless of race, ability or social background from the town of Flitwick and surrounding areas by the provision of facilities and opportunities, in particular for playing football, so as to encourage their physical development.

To provide the local community within Lowestoft and the surrounding area the opportunity to play Association Football

Provide Taekwondo lessons to adults and children of all ages and abilities and from all economic backgrounds. Provide access to a community gym that is available to all including disabled users. Provide other classes that fulfil our charity objectives by providing healthy recreation in the form of aerobics, legs, bums and tums, Pilates, circuit training and breakdancing classes. We provide a base.

TO MAKE DONATIONS TO ANY CHARITABLE BODY, ASSOCIATION OR ORGANISATION AT THE DISCRETION OF THE TRUSTEES. THE TRUST HAS MAINTAINED STRONG LINKS WITH THE RONA TRUST - LONDON SAILING PROJECT

We work to advance the Islamic faith for public benefit by maintaining and managing a community centre and mosque, fostering an environment for worship, religious instruction, community engagement and activities. Additionally, we support the education of Muslim children and adults through a supplementary school, offering educational and recreational facilities outside school and work hours.

Neighbourcare gives assistance to the community in variety of ways: Transport to doctors and hospitals; Shopping; cleaning; gardening; relieving carers; visiting the housebound; sitting service; Home from Hospital Help; Fetching prescriptions; Pop in Service; Filling forms; meals on wheels referrals; Lunch Club, Community Shop and a Silver Surfer Internet Cafe to teach IT skills to the over 50s.
