The charity teaches people to swim, offers life saving, water polo, long distance and open water swimming, and competition swimming to national standard. Dover Lifeguard Club is an accredited swim 21 club.

To alleviate hardship for individuals connected to the game of association football

To advance the education of its members in Leicestershire and Rutland in agriculture, homecrafts, country life and related subjects. This is provided by a programme of training, social, educational and recreational activities.

SPARK is established to provide and assist in the provision for sport, recreation and other leisure time occupations for the benefit of the inhabitants of the town of Kesgrave in the interests of social welfare and in order to improve the quality of life of the said inhabitants.

The objects of the Charity are the advancement of the arts,culture or heritage; the provision of recreational facilities in the interests of social welfare; the advancement of education; the relief of poverty and the relief of those in need.

The primary aim of the Station & Welfare Fund is to improve the amenities of the Station by providing grants (as approved by the Fund Committee/IMC) to Station departments and clubs. On the proviso that personnel pay Station & Welfare subscriptions, the Fund will consider bids from individuals/groups who undertake worthwhile activities of a welfare, sporting, recreational, or academic nature.

In general terms, makes grants to organisations connected with the sport of rowing; primarily for the provision of facilities and resources to enable and encourage young persons receiving education or undergoing training in the UK, to row or to scull.

We gather and represent opinion of those studying at Josephine Butler College at Durham University, working with local partners to effect beneficial change. We organise and deliver cultural, sporting, welfare, social and other forms of enrichment activity for students. We also provide leadership opportunities for students to engage in the delivery of our activity, developing personal capability.

The Museum has been run by volunteers since 1972 and owns its 11-acre site. There is an admission charge and 22,000 visitors pa view 60 aircraft plus over 45,000 aviation artefacts. Aviation history in the eastern counties predominates in the collection. School, Scout and other social groups are welcomed throughout the year and members visit local residential care homes.
