Leisure Charities

The Trust provides opportunities for disabled people, and injured military personnel or veterans in particular, to experience sailing in yachts. The activities include day sailing and 5 day cruises, some RYA practical courses and limited racing. We operate from May to Oct and are generally based in the Solent. Wheelchairs are welcome on day sails.

Newton Abbot Swimming and Water Polo Club is dedicated to supporting all members of the club to reach their full potential. The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation for the benefit of the children and young people of London and the surrounding areas by the provision of non-contact boxing, in particular but not exclusively using boxing and its ethos training as a means of improving physical and mental health and fitness and encouraging children and young people to make good life choices.

Bethel Lighthouse CIO is a church and community organisation, that through our Christian faith provides facilities for education, recreation and other leisure-time occupation for the benefit of the community in the interest of social welfare. We help to relieve sickness and financial hardship, to promote and preserve good health by the provision of funds, goods or services of any kind.

We are an international Buddhist movement bringing the Buddha's teaching to the general public. We provide meditation classes and a space for yoga, Shiatsu, etc. We operate on a donations basis.

The Community Centre opened in October 2009. It will be a multi purpose building and we are looking to provide a variety of sport, exercise classes, recreational (including dance classes)and educational activities - informal interest groups and more formal adult education classes.

Providing educational, cultural and recreational opportunities by hosting clubs and classes, as well as a varied calendar of professional, community and amateur entertainment throughout the year. Primarily strengthening ties with inhabitants of Bedwas, Trethomas, Machen, Graig y Rhacca, and the wider Caerphilly Basin, enabling the facilities to be accessible and inclusive to all.

TO PROVIDE SPORTING FACILITIES AND OPEN SPACE FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC

Provides flexible preschool education for ages 2 years to school age, 6 hours, 5 days/week in term time. Offers universal and extended funding places for 3-4 year-olds, funding for 2 year olds and those receiving Early Years Pupil Premium. Runs an out-of-school club for care, recreation and education for children aged 2.5-14 years, after school and in school holidays.
