The Sports Foundation for the Disabled aims to support physically disabled individuals and groups from South West England and Wales to access funding up to the value of ?1,000. This funding must contribute towards sporting activities, sporting equipment, or costs towards achieving a physical challenge.

Promotion social, recreational,sporting and other facilities for the village of Calbourne and surrounding areas. Provision of Village Hall and Recreation Ground. Hall is used for meetings and social events. Recreation ground is used for team sports and a general amenity for the village.

There are many young people resident in Swale who could be helped to achieve their full potential with a little financial assistance and encouragement when it is most needed.Grants are available for many activities, including music, dance, drama,all sports, indeed almost anything that will help young people to make the most of their talents and opportunities.

Groups that use the centre, old time dancing, gateway club, keep-fit, active living, messey monsters, physibodies, jujitsu, ballet, street dance, mums & tots, lins-holiday club, first aid, aerobics, baby massage, eyff training.

Ashley YFC is part of the Staffordshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs, a rural youth Organisation for anyone aged between 10 and 28 years of age. The Club meet regularly in and around the Ashley District and organise a varied programme of events including sports, training, talks, discos and balls to name just a few!

Educational, School P.E. classes, Adult Education groups. Mother and Child group. Table Tennis, Indoor Bowls, Pilates. Art, Craft, Youth Club. Facility for village meetings, for social occasions and for private parties. Drama Group, Film Club. Providing an essential service to all of the community.

We promote scouting activities within a structured progressive award system. Focus is on team work, leadership, personal development and community awareness. We encourage outdoor activities ie in the form of camping & pursuits such as orienteering etc.

Reading Cygnets is a swimming club for people with learning disabilities. Training sessions operate for 1 hour on Sundays for those who can already swim. We are not able to teach beginners at present. The Club provides opportunities for our swimmers to take part in competitive galas with other similar clubs and in Special Olympics events at home and abroad.

Scouting actively engages and supports young people in their personal development, empowering them to make positive contribution to society. It also provides youngsters with the opportunity to engage in both indoor and outdoor activities and to pursue a whole range of challenges.
