Leisure Charities

The development and promotion of the sport of wheelchair basketball from the beginner up to the competitive level of Great Britain Wheelchair Basketball Association (GBWBA) league and GB standards.

The charity provides facilities for various charitable groups including football teams, drama group, model aircraft group, mother and baby group, line dancing and pigeon clubs. The facilities can also be hired out by the club's members for private functions and meetings etc.

Village hall used for meetings (P.C & other local organisations), classes, weddings, parties, elections etc.

The friends are parents of children at Hillesley School who carry out fund raising activities to raise money for use by the school. The funds are used for purchasing large items of equipment, contributing towards school activities e.g. swimming bus and pantomine etc

Current activities include pool, table tennis, computers, arts, crafts, keep fit and dance.

We are a Scout Group with children ranging from 6years - 16 years and involving activities indoors and outside including camping and many other skills

Acts as a Community Hall. Trustees include representatives of Village organisations: namely1 Flower Show/Gardening Club, 2 WI, 3 Friends of St Peters (Church Fundraising), 4 Weekly Coffee Morning, 5 The Parish Council

Subsidises educational visits and visits to the school by travelling theatre groups and sports coaches. Buys extras, e.g. books, for the school.

We are a community hall with a variety of activities taking place throughout the year. Activities and groups include mother and toddler classes, yoga, karate, keep fit and dance classes. We also rent the hall to parties, craft fayres and medium evenings.

To provide a recreational area for the children, youth and other residents of the village.

The Charity is set up to provide facilities for the local community. The Hall is used on a regular basis by local bands, Tae Kwondo, dog obedience and dog craft training. No events are now held by the Committee.

To ensure the heritage chattels located at Moor Park Golf Club are maintained and preserved.

To give the membership regular activities, companionship, entertainment and caring friends.Members meet 1 monthly, to enjoy a hot two course meal, followed by entertainment.This is very beneficial, as many members live alone.

The group is registered with the Scout Association and operates in the South Park area of Reigate providing activities for children aged 6-18 years old in a fun safe environment. The programme includes adventurous activities, camping and challenges to promote confidence, teamwork and leadership skills. New leaders and adult supporters always welcome.

Group at present operates 2 x 12 seater vehicles with tail lift and wheelchair facilities. Vehicles are available to groups or individual needing transport to enable the mobility impaired, elderly and housebound of our area in South Staffordshire to attend Day Centres, Recreational Clubs andother activities.

To promote any charitable purpose and to provide facilities for recreation and leisure time occupation for the inhabitants of Hawksworth and its surrounding area, through the provision of a village hall and the maintenance, upkeep and running costs of Hawksworth Church, its fabric and surrounds and all things ancillary thereto.

Arranging various functions to raise money and provide educational enjoyment for the school: fetes and fairs, easter activities, outings, get togethers.The monies raised are then invested in the school and the children as regards equipment, entertainment, extra learning opportunities

We fund raise to provide education/training and sport/recreation. In addition, we provide grants and human resources for staff/volunteers.

Giving grants to organistaions and charities in the parish of Dereham

A) To advance the education of young members of the public in agriculture, home crafts, country life and related subjects. And B) In the interest of social welfare to provide and promote the provision of facilities for recreation and leisure.

Our charity provides a space in which our community can gather for a variety of activities and meetings. We already cater for groups such as Whist, Brownies and Horticultural Society. The space is also used for parent and baby classes, band practice and exercises classes as well as parties and gatherings.

To organise activities to raise money for the school PTFA. Such as a sponsored swim, Bingo, frog racing nights
