Leisure Charities

To advise on and assist in the provision of adequate playing fields and play grounds for the purpose of outdoor games, sports and pastimes with a view to promoting the physical and moral welfare and the safety of the population.

The Charity objectives are for the purposes of a village hall for the use of the Parish of Montacute and its surrounding villages for events, meetings, training, performances, lectures and classes or other forms of recreation with the objectives of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of the Parish and integrating people in the wider area to community activity.

Provide football pitch, training pitch and changing rooms/showers, multi-use skate park (bikes, skates and boards), play area for 8-15 year olds, rugby training goal and MUGA for 5-a-side football, netball, basketball and tennis. Provide an area of wooded copse with bat and bird boxes and wildlife area, wildflower meadow and a general open, grassed amenity area for informal recreation

The relief of the aged, impotent and poor. The relief of distress and sickness. Provision and support with the object of improving the conditions of life in the interests of social welfare of facilities for recreation and leisure time occupation. The provision and support of educational facilities.

Construct, operate and demonstrate model railway displays.

Hilgay Good Companions Club is for persons aged 55 or over, and is run by voluntary unpaid members. It basically provides entertainment, outings, bingo and whist drives.

GirlGuiding is the UKs leading charity for girls and young women. This local chapter of the charity supports Girlguiding units in Lancaster, Garstang and surrounding Lancashire villages. The Division jointly owns, with Morecambe Division (Reg Charity No 1025226), Silver Sapling campsite, Silverdale as a camping and outdoor activity facility available to local units and those in the wider area.

Swimming club for the disabled - affiliated to Halliwick AST

Charity administers the village park, which includes a recreation clubhouse, a football pitch and a sports pavilion/war memorial, pathways and play area.

A horticultural society & gardening club for the local village and surrounding areas. We aim to increase interest in gardening and assist members to increase their understanding of the potential of their gardens.

Miscellaneous sums to support the provision of parks and open spaces.

Land for the use of the public for the purposes of exercise & recreation.

We are a community park with a childrens Play area and Large grassed area. Local Football, Cricket and Bowls Clubs also use the facilities. We also hold annual events such as our village Carnival, community food fair and firework display.

Provision and maintenance of a public park for the enjoyment of the inhabitants of Burgess Hill and Mid Sussex district.

We operate from Felbrigg Village Hall, to provide community recreation and leisure activities to parish residents in Felbrigg, Metton and the wider community.We aim to hold regular events to offer opportunities to bring people together.

Llawhaden YFC & Community Hall is a village hall in the small rural village of Llawhaden located just off the A40. The hall is available for hire for private functions e.g. funeral teas and parties but also provides a meeting place for many activities in the area. Groups that meet here are Young Farmers (youth activity group), the Womens Institute, the Community Council and Zumba fitness group.

Application of funds for educational,religious and sporting activities conducted by schools,churches and other organisations within Upminster for the benefit of young persons and their advancement generally.

To raise funds to enable the charity to support the pupils, teachers and the school financially in various eductional and recreational activities.
