General sports facilities for the people of Masham

The Engine Shed is a special interest group for autistic children, young people and adults which was established in 2009. The group was set up by parents and carers in response to the lack of welcoming and supportive recreational facilities for our autistic children. There are two groups: one in Reading and one in NE London.

Our centre is self-financing and managed by volunteers. We provide a pleasant venue for local residents and groups. Activities include art, ladies choir, W.I. and day centre for the elderly (run by volunteers), also yoga and pilates for adults plus karate classes for children. We have fund raising events i.e. craft & plant sales, afternoon teas, music and social events throughout the year.

HIRING OF HALL TO LOCAL ORGANISATIONS FOR CHARITY EVENTS AND LEISURE

The Charity manages and maintains Grimsargh Village Hall in order to provide facilities for the local community to carry out a diverse range of cultural, educational and recreational activities.

Provision and maintenance of buildings, grounds and bowling green for the people of Hamstead.This allows dance classes, meetings and celebrations and participation in a sporting activity.

The objects of the Club are to advance public education and foster a general interest in model railways, prototype railways and allied pursuits and to encourage a high standard of railway modelling ? in particular, amongst the members of the Club.

To promote for the benefit of inhabitants of Cotherstone and the surrounding area, the provision of recreational and sporting facilities for the entire community in the interests of social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of life for the residents of Cotherstone.

We promote affordable community participation in healthy recreation by providing and maintaining facilities for all members of the public who wish to participate, regardless of ability, in playing cricket, association football, rugby union football and other outdoor sports on an amateur basis. Facilities means: land, buildings, equipment, and promoting and organising sporting activities.

Continuing raising of monies through application and personal requests and to raise monies through investments in sporting activities for the disabled.

Providing a variety of appropriate mental and physical activities on a self-help basis for middle-aged and other people who are not in full-time gainful employment in Yeovil and its surrounding locality.

Promoting community development, encouraging involvement, and participation in activities within the benefit area. Providing and securing the provision of social, cultural and recreational facilities and practical assistance for the public of all ages and abilities. For the public benefit within the area of Belford and Middleton and surrounding areas with the following objectives:-provision of recreational facilities for the public at large, the relief of financial hardship by recycling, advance public education in local heritage and culture, raise public appreciation of arts and crafts, protect the environment and to further other charitable purposes.

A Village Community Centre, with bar and kitchen facility, available for hire, general functions etc. Also providing a sports hall gym type facility.

An independent Christian chapel providing space for prayer, public acts of worship, the teaching of Christianity in Rushden Northants.The provision and maintenance of The Heritage Chapel and Halls, including use for:(a) meetings, lectures and classes, and(b) other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants.

Fund raising via entrance fees to charity golf tournaments, the running of charity auctions of donated items and by direct donations. The income is used to purchase powered wheelchairs of a type and design that the state will not provide for children with disability and special needs.
