The charity's objects are to promote the Buddhist spirits, specifically peace and happiness by remembering and practising mindful reflections as seen in the traditions of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. We encourage people in England to get involved with our traditional program such as 108 prostrations, Seon Meditation, Seon Yoga, Vegetarian Temple Food, Tea Ceremony, Buddhist Art, etc.

The Charity makes available facilities for the teaching and practice of Buddhism in Her Majesty's Prisons and other places of lawful detention or custody. It is the Religious Advisory Service for Buddhism to HMPPS and it provides licensed and suitably vetted Buddhist chaplains who regularly attend most of the prisons across England and Wales.

Advancement of the Buddhist religion (Dharma)

The advancement of the Buddhism: (i) to encourage members and others to live in accordance with the Teaching of the Buddha. (ii) to support ordained members of the Western Buddhist Order and other duly ordained Buddhists, at the discretion of the Council of the FWBO.
