St Nicholas is part of the Southward Diocease of the Church of England. It's acitvities are set out by the Church of England centred on the advancement of religion for the public benefit, promoting the work of the Church of England in the parish of St Nicholas, Sutton in Surrey. The Parocial Church Council promotes the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical.

St James' is a parish church within the Church of England offering worship in the modern Anglican Catholic tradition. Thatcham PCC has the responsibility of co-operating with the Team Rector and Team Vicar in promoting in Thatcham Parish the whole mission of the church - spiritual, pastoral, evangelistic and ecumenical. The PCC met four times in 2022.Services are held in St Mary's, the Parish Church and at St Barnabas which meets in Thatcham Park Church of England Primary School.
