The charity owns and runs two Approved Premises (hostels) for the reception of offenders who have been placed there on Post Custody Licence or on probation by the courts, working in partnership with the Ministry of Justice and the Probation Service.

The charity supports, through grants, charitable organisations which promote Christian faith in accordance with the beliefs of the Church of England; promotes urban or rural regeneration in areas of social/economic deprivation for the benefit of the public, enhances the lives of those with illness;the advancement of health for public benefit;promotes the arts and promotes the advance of education.

The charity was formed to acquire from the Church Commissioners a collection of paintings by the Spanish artist Zurbaran, and in conjunction with her sister charity, The Auckland Castle Trust (Charity Reg:1146219), to enable these paintings to be seen by the general public.It also owns other paintings, furniture and artefacts that form part of the permanent exhibition at Auckland Castle

The principal activity of the Charity is to promote the advance of the Islamic religion by all or any of the following means.- Providing and maintaining Mosques and religious centres for the worship of the Islamic religion.- Teaching and educating young members of the Islamic community in the doctrine and practices of the Islamic religion and Jurisprudence.

The Charity's objectives and principal activities for the year under review were raising support for missionaries and compassion ministries in Asia and educating and mobilising the Church in the United Kingdom and Europe. Our governors believe that these objectives and activities exceed the general guidelines for public benefit set by the Charity Commission.

Christian worship and outreach activities to the local community and further afield; open to all ages, creeds and cultures. Our main ministry is within the Birmingham area particularly that of the city centre.

THE FRIENDS OF NORWICH CATHEDRAL EXISTS FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT OF THE HISTORIC FABRIC OF THE CATHEDRAL, AND TO PROVIDE FINANCIALLY FOR SPECIFIC NEW PROJECTS WITHIN THE CATHEDRAL PREMISES. Carmelite friars serve the community, directing a large retreat and conference centre at Aylesford, Kent, running parishes in Llanelli & Faversham a university chaplaincy in York and a number of more specialised apostolates.

The College of St. Barnabas was established in 1895 to provide retirement homes for Anglican Clergy, Church Workers, Readers licensed by a Bishop and their wives and widows. In 2005 those in communion with Church of England are included. There is also a care wing for those requiring care and medical support. The Circuit produces a preaching plan to ensure regular acts of worship take place at each of the Methodist Churches and Local Ecumenical Partnerships in its geographical area. These are open to all people, without charge.

The Liberal Jewish Synagogue maintains a place for public religious worship, provides and conducts religious services, provides religious education for children and adults, facilities for the solemnisation of marriages, civil partnerships, mixed faith blessings and also for burials and cremations. The Synagogue also facilitates and encourages inter-faith activities.

The charity acts both as a Property Holding Trustee for church property and investments of churches within the Synod and holds the financial information of the Synod's activities.
