RBMHO exists to meet the ever increasing need of, and bring relief to, accredited Baptist Ministers and Rev spouses who need safe and secure homes in the years following retirement from pastoral service, having been in service in excess of 15 years, (18 years in churches in union with BUGB) or Baptist Missionaries who have served BMS World Mission primarily outside of the UK for at least 15 years.

To support the religious and other charitable works carried on by the members of the Congregation and to care for those members throughout their lives within the Congregation. These ministries of the Sisters of the Congregation, all of which benefit numerous members of the general public, fall into the following main areas: Health, Education, Pastoral ministry and overseas outreach.

The main object of the charity is the advancement of the Christian faith in Africa; working with national churches in areas of evangelism, literature distribution, Bible teaching, education and medical work.
