The objects of the trust deed are to make grants for general charitable purposes at the discretion of the trustees. Awarding scholarships/bursaries for further education to beneficiaries, who must be under the age of 25 years, and one of whose parents must be either resident in the area or a member of the Society of Friends resident in the area of Wensleydale and Swaledale Area Meeting.Awarding small grants to Reeth Community Primary School for items not normally provided by the Local Education Authority.

Grants to members of Quaker meetings who are undertaking futher education or training to equip them for work.

To preserve Cliff House Woods for the people of Salcombe and maintain and insure the amenity in an area of outstanding beauty which has now been deemed a 'Conservation Area'.

Provision of housing for persons in need with preference given to those who are members of the Society of Friends.

THE PROVISION OF SOCIAL AMENITIES AND ENTERTAINMENTS FOR PATIENTS AND NURSING STAFF OF THE NEATH HOSPITALS.THE CHARITY UNDERTAKES A WIDE RANGE OF FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES AND ACTS AS AN ORGANISATION FOR RECEIVING DONATIONS. FUNDS ARE DISTRIBUTED ACCORDING TO NEED AND DECIDED UPON AT MONTHLY EXECUTIVE MEETINGS.
