Religion Charities

The activities of the Association are directed towards furthering the teachings of Christian Science by maintaining links with its members and providing spiritual inspiration. Its activities are entirely religious in character and every September an association meeting is held at which members and invited visitors hear an address given by an invited speaker (see Christian Science Church Manual).

Church of England

The Open Synod Group is a group of present and former members of The General Synod of the Church of England that promotes unity amongst all Christians. It meets when the General Synod meets affirms its hope in the future, living out our faith in a positive spirit which is both liberal and critical.

Providing financial assistance supporting Buddhist and/or humanitarian aid projects primarily in India.

Religious

Support the upkeep,enhancment and interpretation of the historic church building of St Peters Shaftesbury for the benefit of the whole community of the town as well as visitors

Restoration, prservation, repair, maintenance etc of Church of St Andrew & St Eustachius, for the benefit of the people of Suffolk and the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich.

Makes grants to individuals and organisations within the parish of Holme to support educational activities and the parish church.

Maintenance of burial ground belonging to former chapel and distribution of surplus income to other local unitarian charities.

We have a programme of four meetings a year, in January, March, May and November, with speakers and discussion afterwards. In addition there is a social event in June. Meetings are held mostly at the Liberal Jewish Synagogue, and sometimes at neighbouring places of Christian worship.

Promotion and advancement of the practice and teaching of traditional Judaism

Used for the benefit, either individually or collectively, of those men and women of pensionable age who are part of groups in Biggin Hill supported by the Church of England.

To Augment the living of the Minister of the Chapel in St Helens frequented by a Congregation of Protestant Dissenters called Independents (United Reformed Church) under a Trust Deed dated 20th June 1822.

Money raised from rental of charity fields used for the benefit of church and village.

The charity provides funds for the further education of persons resident within the parish

We offer bursaries to help pay for the musical education of young people who are or have been choristers in Worcester Worcester Cathedral Choirs.
