Religion Charities

The principal activities of the Charity in the year under review were those of charitable and religious activities.

The teaching and promotion of the Sikh religion.

Provide housing for Church of England Clergy and their wives/widows and sometimes supporting children.

Missionary activities

The aim of the Jewish Literary Foundation is to stimulate and encourage the reading of books on every aspect of Jewish thought, life, literature and history and culture.

Religious Activities, Education and Youth work

To maintain, repair and renew the fabric, fittings and ornaments of the Guild Church of St Andrew Holborn, its churchyard, the Rectory house (Vicarage) and the Court House. To support the Vicar in the performance of his duties.

To spread the Good News of Jesus Christ - this is done by holding services open to the public throughout the UK and Ireland, putting on conferences, providing resources online such as a daily devotional and the running of a two week youth summer camp with a variety of outdoor activities.

Running the synagogue "Ohel Avrohom" and providing educational activities in the advancement of Orthodox Judaism

Christian publishers and promoting the Christian Gospel

Providing Islamic services to the Muslims of Crawley & surrounding areas, promoting welfare and unity. Providing learning opportunites in Islamic studies for adults & children, providing learning opportunities for the non-muslims through our "Dawah" network. Every evening, there is an open lecture in Islamic values/ attributes followed by Q&A; There is now a female circle, every Saturday 3pm

THE PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY OF THE CHURCH IS TO PROMOTE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION AND TO PROVIDE PLACES OF WORSHIP IN CONFORMITY WITH ITS STATEMENT OF DOCTRINE. THE OBJECTIVE OF THE NEW LIFE ASSEMBLY FELLOWSHIP IS TO PROVIDE RELIGIOUS AND CHARITABLE SERVICES TO THE CHURCH AND THE LOCAL COMMUNITY, TO MAINTAIN CHURCH PROPERTY AND TO ORGANISE CONFERENCES AT VARIOUS TIMES AND PLACES.

The trust supports the preservation of churches or chapels of any christian denomination in Norfolk or the dioceses of Norwich. The trust makes grants to parishes and congregations to repair restore and preserve christian churches and chapels.

Under the provisions of the governing scheme, income of the Church Fund is paid to the Consistory of The French Protestant Church of London for its purposes, income of the Educational Fund is applied for the promotion of education of persons aged under 25 and income of the Hardship Fund (formerly the Poor Fund) is applied to reduce need, hardship and stress for certain categories of people.

This Charity administers 67 almshouses at Church Green Off St. Margarets Road Lowestoft. These almshouses are a warden assisted sheltered housing complex for the elderly

Advancement of religion and education and recreation facilities in accordance with the tenents of Islam

The Charity aims to a) provide grants to individuals in Bedford, usually members of the Bunyan Meeting non-conformist Church, b) provide a grant towards the Church ministry,c) maintain the fabric of the church, manse and other investment buildings, d) maintain, operate and publicise the world - renowned John Bunyan Museum and library.

To advance the work of Christian Education and training in the parishes of the Diocese of Derby and to enable and encourage the work of Church of England schools in the Diocese by: Maintaining and improving school buildings using EFA grants. Being an active partner in school improvement in Church schools. Increasing the quality and quantity of provision for children and young people in parishes.

TO PROMOTE THE SPIRITUAL TEACHINGS OF THE ISLAMIC RELIGION AND THE MAINTENANCE OF THE DOCTRINES ON WHICH IT RESTS AND OF THE OBSERVATIONS THAT SERVE TO PROMOTE AND MANIFEST IT ESPECIALLY AMONGST THE MOSLEMS RESIDING IN LEICESTER AND IN THE COUNTY OF LEICESTERSHIRE.

The production and publishing of a weekly and quarterly magazine for the benefit of the Religious Society of Friends, commonly called Quakers, for the purpose of propagating the religious teaching of that Society and of promoting interest in its work.

Making grants to Orthodox Jewish institutions and individuals in financial need.

To advance the Islamic Religion, to relieve poverty and to advance education of the public in UK and overseas.

The parish is a religious community. The objects of the Charity are the promotion of the religious life of the Parish and the promotion in England of the tenets of the Russian Orthodox Church and generally Orthodox Christianity

The charity activities include Buddhists activities for those who would like to participate and improve their mental and physical abilities through Buddhist teaching and meditation. This is especially for stress and distress in their day to day life as well as help and relief when and where people need. Also the centre provides education which is relevant to improve the knowledge of living world.
