Part of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers): - supporting Quaker Meetings - spreading the Quaker message - undertaking service - funding concerns - providing pastoral care of Quakers in need - maintaining/developing Meeting Houses as places for worship and witness - administering the Area Meeting -supporting Britain Yearly Meeting

At St Luke in the City we have a team mission statement (since 2002) as follows: "To discover, with others, the freedom, justice and hope of the Kingdom of God: to work for and celebrate it in the lives of individuals, the community and the City"

Holding regular public worship open to all; providing sacred space for prayer and contemplation; pastoral work, including visiting the sick, etc.; teaching and promoting Christianity through sermons, courses and literature; taking religious assemblies in schools; promoting the whole mission of the church through making our building/facilities available to the community; supporting other charities.

The charity's objects are set out by the trust deed as:1. the advancement of the Christian faith2. the relief of sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preserve good health bythe provision of funds, goods or services of any kind including through the provision ofcounselling and support3. the advancement of education

Promotion of the ecclesiastical parish of Keresley & Coundon, the whole mission of the Church; pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical.

Provision of regular public worship open to all and sacred space for personal prayer and contemplation. Pastoral work including visiting the sick and bereaved and the teaching of Christianity through sermons and courses. Promoting the whole mission of the Church through provision of activities for senior citizens, parents and toddlers. Supporting other charities in the UK and overseas

Providing activities to advance the Christian Religion through acts of worship, fellowship group and outreach to the local community. Providing facilities for all these activities for the whole range of people from very young to the more mature adult.

THE PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF THE CHURCH IS THE ADVANCEMENT OF CHRISTIAN FAITH ACCORDING TO THE BAPTIST DENOMINATION, AND CARRY OUT OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES.OUR MISSION :TO PROVIDE APPROPRIATE FACILITIES FOR USE BY THE COMMUNITY OF SMALL HEATH AND BIRMINGHAM, AND OPERATE / FACILITATE PROJECTS THAT WILL IMPROVE AND BRING ABOUT COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, CIVIL RENEWAL, AND A MORE COHESIVE NEIGHBOURHOOD.

Christian worship and service on Sundays and during the week held on church premises. Bible study, prayer and fellowship groups meeting at church or in member's homes. Social activities and groups for specific age groups - children, young people and adults, and all age activities.

The principal activity of the charity is the development of Llangasty Retreat House as a Christian centre and place for individuals and groups to visit in order to develop their spirituality by means of retreats, conferences, study days, etc.

The principal activities are running a synagogue, including Jewish social religious events for the members of the synagogue.

Public services of Christian worship on Sundays at 9.15am and 11.00am .Other service times see the church website.The church runs housegroups in various homes. Children's work includes Sunday Club ,Tiny Tots,Brownies and other activities run by volunteers. Youthwork is coordinated by a paid Youth Pastor assisted by volunteers. We also hold a Renew Wellbeing Cafe open to the community.

Chilterns Area Quaker Meeting is part of the organisational structure of the Religious Society of Friends in Britain. It is the primary organisational unit for church affairs in the Chilterns; provides public worship at 7 local Quaker meetings; owns and maintains 6 meeting houses; oversees the spiritual and pastoral life of the Quaker community; and organises Quaker work, witness and outreach.

1.Furtherance of Christianity and Christian Education; Providing Advocacy, advice and information.2.Reliefing poverty by working in co-operation with other charitable and christian organisation in a common effort to assist victims of war,disaster and other misfortunes.3. Helping general Public/Manking,;Elderly/Old people;Children/young people.

The charity aims at activities towards advancement of the Christian faith and spreading thegoodnews of salvation to mankind. It is passionate about helping people discover their purposeand fulfil their destiny.
