Religion Charities

HOPE Portsmouth runs various community projects including: Portsmouth Food Bank, Community Circles of Support, ROC Community Mentoring, undertakes various youth and children's activities, as well as Kings Church Sunday services and midweek church community activities.

The charities activities during the year continued to be the provision of elementary and secondary tuition to Jewish boys.

As per the original registration document

1. The advancement of the Christian Faith with the doctrinal standards and discipline of the Methodist Church.2. The advancement of any Charitable Purpose in the District, Circuit, local or other organisation of the Methodist Church in the Bristol District.

1. Proclaim Messiah Yeshua to the world, to the Jew first and also to the Gentil, through television, radio, fesivals, literature and all other means;2. Teach and train those who embrace Messiah, and equip and impart them a love for Israel and the Jewish people;3. Relieve persons who are poor and needy, sick, aged or otherwise in necessitous circumstances.

Provision of education for special needs children in a cultural environment that develops their life skills to enable the children to integrate with their peers and to be part of the community and their social environment. Provision of various therapies to cater for the children's needs including Speech & language, art, sports and occupational therapies.Provision of "out of school" activities.

REGULAR PUBLIC WORSHIP OPEN TO ALL, PASTORAL WORK, TEACHING OF CHRISTIANITY THROUGH SERMONS, COURSES AND SMALL GROUPS, RELIGIOUS ASSEMBLIES IN SCHOOLS, YOUTH AND CHILDRENS CLUBS WITH A CHRISTIAN ETHOS, CHURCH MISSIONAL CAFE OUTREACH, THE PROMOTION OF CHRISTIANITY THROUGH THE STAGING OF EVENTS AND THE DISTRIBUTION OF LITERATURE, AND THE SUPPORTING OF OTHER CHARITIES IN THE UK AND OVERSEAS

The church has significant ministries to children, young people and students, and a growing ministry to older people. 10% of the income of the church is given away to mission and social action projects in the UK and overseas. Until recently, the church involved its members and the local community in sponsorship over an extended period of a small rural community in Kenya; this has now ended.

The objects of the charity are for the benefit of the public. To advance the Christian faith, to relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preserve good health and to advance education in such ways and in such parts of the United Kingdom as the directors may think fit.

Our main objectives are to advance the Christian faith and to relieve persons who are in conditions of need & hardship or sick and to relieve the distress caused thereby in the said location and in such other parts of the United Kingdom or world as the trustees may from time to time think fit.We are a multi-cultural organisation and our members include ex addicts, single parents etc.

York Area Quaker Meeting is a charity established for the advancement of religion and other charitable purposes such asderive from or bear witness to the principles and practices of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).

South West Youth Ministries is a youth ministry that places trainee youth and schools workers with ministry partners (churches and schools-work projects) throughout the South West of England. SWYM seeks to promote local churches and bring them together in an informal association that works together to be as strategic and effective as possible in Christian schools-work and youth ministry.

The Charity makes provisions for all religious and cultural requirements of the society's members and the general public by maintaining the Masjid and Madrassah premises. The activities and services provided include Daily prayers, Funeral and burial services, Nikah ceremonies, Religious Education and many other religious ceremonies.

To advance such charitable purposes (according to the law of England and Wales) as the trustees see fit from time to time in particular but not limited to the advancement of the Orthodox Jewish religion by providing facilities for religious study and maintaining and running a Kollel, through the prevention and relief of poverty and social disadvantage.

The promotion of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to the doctrines and practices of the Church of England through many activities including regular public worship; the provision of sacred space for personal prayer and contemplation; pastoral work; teaching of Christianity; distribution of literature; promotion of religious music and the provision of Christian hospitality.
