Religion Charities

The Society of the Work aims at the advancement of religion in accordance with the Roman Catholic faith, the advancement of education and the relief of poor, aged or infirm persons. It concentrates on promoting the work of Saint John Henry Newman and is the custodian of The College where Newman lived from 1842 to 1846, keeping it open almost daily, free of charge, to members of the public.

Bringing the message of Jesus through preaching and teaching and through acts of love and kindness and compassion locally and in other places in the UK and overseas. Building a community of people who love God, love the Bible, love to worship, pray, and serve. Encouraging people to attain their maximum potential in God.

The relief of those in need by reason of age or financial hardship in Ilfracombe, in particular but not limited to poor widows who are members of the Parish Church of the Holy Trinity & St Peter, Ilfracombe

Awarding small grants towards the fees of students studying at theological college or university for full time Christian ministry or those volunteering for Christian service at home or oversees. Grants are also considered for Christian missions and for bursary funds for Christian colleges and supporting schools beyond the UK.

The charity owns a number of properties which it lets to produce an income. Surplus income is then either held against future repairs of the charity's properties or donated for the repairing, sustaining and maintaining of the Parish Church of North Molton, and also for the exonerating and paying of all other charges, reparations expenses and costs upon such church, as appropriate.

An evangelical church known as Garston Community Church reaching out to the local community, catering for young and old with, Kidz Klub, Youth Club and Seniors Club. Also supporting other local initiatives, advancement of the Christian faith, spreading the Gospel, providing Christian education. Supporting other ministries abroad, orphans and the needy mainly in India.

We are a parish church also offering rooms for community (new church association) activities.

The charity is a church and holds services for its congregation and supports Christian charitable work on behalf of the church in the locality

Support for Isle of Wight Charities and in particular Yarmouth Parish Church and Yarmouth ( Isle of Wight) Town Trust

1) the relief of Quakers, Attenders and other people who are in need, hardship or distress and are resident in the area of benefit; (2) the maintenance and upkeep of the Quaker meeting houses and burial grounds within the area of benefit;(3) to further the religious and other charitable deeds and works of the Area Meeting, in Britain and overseas, as the trustees shall see meet.

Endowed Charity whose net income is paid in thirds to The Norwich Diocesan Board of Finance, The St Giles-on-the-Hill PCC and Norwich Consolidated Charities for the upkeep of the Church and Parish of St Giles, Norwich and the relief of people in financial need in the City of Norwich.

The charity makes educational grants to individuals of Jewish origin to assist their education in subjects involving use of the hands, predominately music and medicine. To a lesser extent it also donates to Jewish organisations involved in humanitarian activities.

The principle objective of the charity is to look after the christian needs within the community and to provide spiritual guidance globally.

To provide all forms of relief to Sephardi Jews in the British Isles

The Charity supports the monastic life and public prayer of the community of monks. The community promotes ecumenical and inter-faith relations and hosts courses in psychotherapy and the relationship between psychotherapy and spirituality. It also receives individuals and groups for religious and educational and cultural reasons and makes some grants for reasons of religion, education and hardship

The object of the charitable trust is to manage the Blackwell Hall as a church hall for the purpose of furthering the religious and other charitable work of the Parish of All Saints', Harrow Weald.

Provides accomodation for people who are over age 60, of limited means, and who are affiliated to a christian church.

Christian activities of worship and bible teaching and the encouragement and support of Christian ministries and missions.

Provide premises for worship and prayer, outreach to parishes in the RC Diocese of Middlesbrough, outreach to youth.

The main activity of the charity is to run a "Meditation Center" to promote the practice of "Satipathana Vipassana Meditation" in the "Theravada Buddhist " tradition . The Centre is open to all regardless of race, creed, or religion .

To advance the Christian Religion

Grants are focussed on charitable purposes and individuals in Christian ministry associated with Emmanuel Church Northwood, for student training for Christian ministry in colleges in Northwood or its vicinity and for charitable social purposes to organisations working in Northwood and its vicinity.
