Religion Charities

Activities of the church are to see to the uplifting of the Christian religion through regular worshipp and to cater for the spiritual well being of all its members and guests by means of preaching the good news through regular sermons and seminars.

THE STRANGERS' REST MISSION IS A CHRISTIAN ORGANISATION AND CHURCH, FOUNDED IN 1877, WHICH SEEKS TO SERVE THE LOCAL MULTI CULTURAL COMMUNITY IN SHADWELL, EAST LONDON. THIS INCLUDES THE HOLDING OF WORSHIP SERVICES, CHILDRENS' AND YOUNG PEOPLES TEACHING AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES. PROVIDING PRACTICAL HELP TO THOSE IN THE COMMUNITY IS AN IMPORTANT FUNCTION OF THE MISSION.

Re Vulnerable Beneficiaries! As the charity is a church it is possible that children & vulnerable adults will attend services. Some trustees (ie:members of the PCC) have had checks with the Criminal Records Bureau and all people who work with children have been checked.

Grants to St Alban's Church serving the community to support curate, youth clubs, repair & restoration of plate and vestments, confirmation candidates preparation, Children's and Youth pilgrimages to Walsingham.

THE CHARITY WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION AND THE PROTECTION AND PRESERVATION OF HEALTH. ITS OBJECTS ALSO INCLUDE TO EDUCATE AND TRAIN AND RELIEVE POVERTY AND SICKNESS AMONG YOUNG PERSONS WHO ARE SUFFERING OR WHO HAVE SUFFERED A LEGAL RESTRICTION OF THEIR LIBERTY IN ANY PENAL OR CORRECTION ESTABLISHMENT.

CHARITY IS TO ADVANCE THE HINDU RELIGION BY PROMOTING THE STUDY OF ITS PHILOSOPHY, BELIEFS AND MORALITY AND TO ACT AS AN HINDU CHARITABLE FOUNDATION IN ASSISTING PEOPLE OF HINDU AND OTHER FAITHS WHO IN NEED.

The charity distributes its nett income to the Yardleys Non Ecclesiastical Charity (two thirds) and the Thaxted Parochial Church Council (one third) after retaining a reserve fund towards the upkeep and future development of Yardleys Farm.

General charity purposes. Working with young people ,the elderly,providing educational courses,advice and support.

Furtherance of the Christian religion and assisting other Church Missions and holding religious meetings for the community by bringing hope to lost souls though one Lord, one faith and one baptism.

The upkeep, repair and insurance of the Parish Church of St Mary's, Walton on Thames and the goods and ornaments thereof.The maintenance of and improvement of the Parish Church and its Churchyard.The upkeep, repair and insurance of the Daughter Church of St John's Cottimore, Walton on Thames.The cost of maintaining and improving the Church of St John's Cottimore, Walton on Thames.

The advancement of religion for the salvation of all who believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and for the benefit of society in general, both locally and in the wider world.

To provide assistance to Jewish charities and Non Jewish charities particularly in the fields of blindness or disability

To promote the cultural development of the Hindu community, which includes Shree Girnara Soni Samaj and to maintain and manage such a centre of educational, social welfare, recreational and leisure purposes

St. Matthias Community Centre is a redundant church which saves as "village hall" to the local community of Blackwall & Limehouse in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

To conserve and promote the historical, architectural and archaeological heritage of the old church at Murston; to advance the education of the public generally and especially in the subjects of history, archaeology, ecology art and design, including the establishment and running of an arts centre and the erection of additional buildings for such purposes at the old church at Murston.

The Charity was established to provide financial assistance to the Parochial Church Council of Cirencester for the upkeep and repair of the fabric of the Parish Church and to Powell's Educational Foundation.

Teaching Islam

The National Council has continue to assist communities on matters appertaining to the administration of shechita practice and to the preservation of the Jewish religious method of humane slaughter of permitted species of animals for food - Shechita - as a religious moral right, at home and abroad.

GIVING RELIEF TO THE NEEDY AND DESERVING POOR, ESPECIALLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY AMONGST THOSE PROFESSING THE ROMAN CATHOLIC FAITH.

The Trust employs several people in Christian ministry in the Bridgnorth area.The Trust provides financial support to various other Christian ministries in Shropshire, in the UK and overseas.

Religious and social services

Makes grants to individuals resident or organisations benefitting persons resident within 2 miles of Lichfield Cathedral who are sick and poor for convalescent holidays and for equipment relieving suffering etc

Teaching and proclamation of the Christian faith. Providing pastoral support and Biblical counselling, acts of worship, youth and children's activities. Giving help and relief to the poor and needy; supporting Christian agencies in welfare work and Christian teaching in this country and overseas.
