Religious Activities

Provide advice, information and advocacy to elderly Asian women in their own language (Gujarati, Punjabi and Urdu). Outreach and befriending services to disabled, vulnerable and isolated women. Support group - once a month - social support group offering workshops on health issues, confidence building, cultural issues, advocacy and targets isolated vulnerable women.English teaching,sewing dresses

To promote the Roman Catholic faith and Roman Catholic institutions anywhere in the world so that the Roman Catholic faith may be propagated. The charity operates shop premises selling products associated with the Catholic faith and Christianity generally. The charity's premises also provides a Chapel with the Blessed Sacrament where local leaders of the Catholic community lead worship.

Worldwide Marriage Encounter presents training and education programmes for those who the Roman Catholic Church defines as having committed themselves to "The marriage covenant by which a man and woman establish between themselves a partnership for their whole life...". It is in this context that it also presents marriage preparation training programmes, entitled 'Engaged Encounter'.

ICKLESHAM MEMORIAL HALL IS WHERE THE COMMUNITY MEET FOR DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES: ART, HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY MEETING, MOTHER AND TODDLERS, CHURCH, FOOTBALL CLUB, CRICKET CLUB, STOOL BALL, BOWLS CLUB, AEROBICS, DOCTORS' SURGERY. THE HALL IS THE MAIN LOCAL MEETING PLACE.

The Society's objects is the development of culture links of the gujarati and hindu community in meetings and events throughout the year, thereby developing religious and community awareness.

Youth organisation, meeting 4 nights each week with approximately 100 members and 22 voluntary leaders.

Throughout the year we have been endeavouring to include activities for the whole community. Parents/carers, committee, staff and children have all joined in with singing at local church, fun day at village fair, trips out, leavers parties and generally enjoying themselves whilst helping others. Children developing relationships with their peers through playing/learning.
